This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.



Getting Around:

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Luggage storage offered Monday- Friday at our main office from 8:30am-5pm. On weekends we recommend utilizing Bounce Luggage storage. Please inquire once booking is complete for the address!

Great place for our trip. There was plenty of room. The beds were very clean. We were very happy with the kitchens in both units. It made cooking for the week very easy. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Spot for a Charleston Trip

This house was perfect for our large group trip to Charleston. The bedrooms and common areas were very clean and the house in general had a lot of character. We were able to walk to most places we visited which was extremely convenient. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a rental in downtown.

Perfect central place for a group

This VRBO is in a central location, walkable to king street, and is spacious and clean. Our group really enjoyed our stay. Thanks for hosting!

Great Place!

Our stay was excellent. The house was huge and in great shape. It was also in a great location within walking distance to many restaurants. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at this property if visiting Charleston.

Great for large groups

Blue Magnolia is perfect for people who need a large space with responsive host/team! We stayed here for a bachelorette, and the number of rooms and bathrooms was perfect! Close enough to stroll to King St. and all the shopping and the dock for our group’s boat ride or a very short uber to activities/meals. The split living room makes it a little cozy for one central gathering spot but we still had 15 adults hang in the upstairs living room.

Great Stay!

The location is great! 15-20 min walk to King Street. A bit noisy on Friday night but comes with the location. The property was very responsive from start to finish. I think my only complaint was that we needed more toilet paper during our stay. We could have asked the property to provide more, but we just bought a couple of rolls.

The house was perfect. We had a large group and it fit us all perfectly. Love how there are two areas to give everyone space, but it still feels very connected and easy to come together. Clean, comfortable, and close to downtown!

Great place for large groups

Highly recommend. Lots of room, cool vibe. Only thing that would have would have made it better would have been more comfy seating in the living rooms. The rooms were so big it would have been nice for all of us to hangout in one room more comfortably.

Wonderful house!

Had a group of friends stay here over the weekend and had a great time! House was very clean and well situated. We had a large enough group to utilize both units on the property. The location is great, we were able to walk or take very short cab drives everywhere. Also the ability to text the concierge about matters such as arrival and late check out was super convenient and they were always very prompt in getting back to me which was appreciated. Definitely recommend this place if you have a large group that wants to stay together!

Great house for a big party!

The house was just as the pictures show. It’s beautiful, has comfy beds, and is perfect for a large group. It’s a little over a 10 minute walk to King Street which was great as well. The only negatives were that the internet did not work well at all and that when we book we were told check out was at 4pm but the owners claimed that was an error on VRBOs part and made us leave much earlier. Other than that it was awesome and I’d totally recommend it!

Large, Gorgeous 2-unit house

We had a large group (14) so we got both the downstairs and upstairs units. Both were gorgeous (though upstairs was nicer and had a roomier common room). Both units are very well maintained and in a great location, just under a mile to King St - within walking distance. The house had plenty of room for all of us, including sleeping on the pull-out couches. The front porch and back upstairs deck are also nice for hanging outside. The back deck obviously nice for more privacy.

Well maintained for the age of the property

The house was big and seemed to be well maintained. Pluses include location, size, beautiful kitchens. The cons include driveway hard to get in and out of due to very busy street and located at a stop light, also noisy due to location. The sheets in some of the rooms had holes and stains which was quite unappealing. Overall the stay worked out great for our giant group (16 at one point) and I would recommend the Blue Magnolia to anyone under the age of 60 or so who's looking for a fun stay and doesn't mind a little extra street noise.

Overall Great Place

The house was just renovated and very clean. All beds were very comfortable. The layout of the house (we rented the two sides) worked out perfectly for our family. The only downsides were getting out of the driveway and the living room. The street is busy making it a bit of a challenge, but we were always able to find a window of opportunity to pull out - but it did make me more tentative about getting up and going. We would have also liked more seating in the living rooms. We ended up using the kitchen/dining chairs for extra chairs, but these were mostly backless so they were not very comfortable. But, we would likely rent again as the overall floor plan and cleanliness was fabulous! The Bon Bhan Mi restaurant just 2 doors down was great for a quick bite!! There are also a lot of other great places walking distance. We ran out of time!! We also recommend the Time Travelers Escape room (also walking distance) if you are into Escape Rooms.

Clean, Well Maintained Home

This home is split into an upstairs and a downstairs unit, with four bedrooms, two baths down and three bedrooms, two baths up. In the upstairs unit, one of the bedrooms has a private bath, while the other two bedrooms share a hall bath. In the downstairs unit, two bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bath and the other two bedrooms share a hall bath. We rented the whole house for a group of five couples. Since each unit has its own kitchen and living area, neither was as big as we might have liked for the size of our group, but they worked. We had problems with the wifi, and the router had to be replaced, but the property manager was quick to respond and apologetic, and had the new router ordered right away. There was a good bit of nighttime noise (sirens since it’s near a trauma center, and loud neighbors renting nearby houses). Those things can’t really be controlled, but you might want to take the noise into consideration when choosing a rental in the area. Overall, it was a great house!
