About this property
Tranquil Winter Bell Tent Adventure
Escape into the tranquility of the Arizona wilderness with a stay in our luxury bell tent, located just 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon South Rim.
Designed in true safari style, the bell tent is dressed with warm Southwest décor and outfitted with a queen-size bed, soft linens, and cozy textiles. The space balances rustic adventure with thoughtful touches that make you feel right at home.
Outdoors, guests enjoy:
A private fire ring with complimentary firewood
Access to refreshing shared outdoor shower (unavailable during the winter months of December–February)
Shared safari dining tent
Unlike crowded hotels or standard campgrounds, our bell tents provide privacy, stargazing, and wide-open desert views—all on 30 acres of secluded property.
Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, bucket-list trip, or peaceful retreat, our bell tent is a unique way to experience the Grand Canyon without sacrificing comfort.
Winter Shower Notice:
Please be aware that the on-site showers will be unavailable during the winter months (December–February) due to freezing temperatures in the Arizona desert. A clean and well-maintained shared restroom will still be available for guest use.
Getting Here:
Our property is just 30 minutes from the South Rim entrance of Grand Canyon National Park.
- By Car: From I-40, take State Road 64 North toward the Grand Canyon. At mile marker 219, turn right on Woodland Ranch Rd. Drive 3 miles, then turn left on Horizon Star Rd. After 1/4 mile, turn left into our driveway.
- Road Conditions: Our property sits on 30 acres of peaceful, off-grid desert landscape, which means the final stretch to reach us includes unpaved ranch roads. These roads are typical for rural Northern Arizona, mostly packed dirt and gravel with some naturally uneven sections.
To ensure a smooth arrival:
Any standard vehicle can reach the property in normal weather. Guests arrive in sedans, compact cars, and SUVs every week. You do not need a 4x4.
Drive slowly and take your time on the last 3–4 miles. The road is bumpy in spots due to the natural terrain, but going around 10 mph makes it very manageable.
Weather note: After heavy rain or winter storms, the road may be softer in some areas.
Most guests describe the drive as “part of the adventure” and love how the remote setting adds to the experience once they arrive.
- On Arrival: Continue along the gravel road another 1/4 mile until you reach two shipping containers. Park in the designated area, where your camp host will greet you and escort you to your dome.
- Parking: Free parking is provided onsite.
Inside the bell tent, you’ll find a queen-size bed dressed with soft linens, a Southwestern blanket, and accent pillows for comfort. The space is styled with warm rugs, rustic side tables, and lantern lighting, creating a cozy, desert-inspired retreat. A small sitting area and thoughtful décor complete the space, giving you a boutique glamping feel while keeping the natural charm of a safari-style tent.
