Cozy Lakefront Cabin with Stunning Views!

This recently updated 1960’s bungalow was one of the original properties on Harvey's Peninsula Rd, owned by the Harvey sisters. It's stone and wood charm combined with lake views and the wooded setting are the perfect ingredients for a mountain lake getaway! It's 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and full size pull out couch, which have all been recently updated, will sleep 9 people easily. The large kitchen, which has been recently remodeled opens into the great room and overlooks the deck and Deep Creek Lake. There's not a better place to start your mornings! During the warmer months, all doors and windows are fitted with screens to be able to enjoy that crisp mountain air, as there is no A/C. Some of the house's features include; all new luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout, wood burning stove, baseboard heat, full stainless appliances, ceiling fans in each room, Smart TVs in each bedroom so you can sign into all of your streaming platforms (There is no cable TV!) fast Wifi, fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking desires- including a Keurig, regular coffee pot, blender, toaster, propane grill, large newly re modeled composite deck with safety railing, plenty tables and chairs, fire pit with chairs, spacious parking area, walkway with steps that lead to our large dock and reclining chairs. We do accept a maximum of (2) dogs, and ask that you are diligent about cleaning up after them. There is a non refundable pet fee, as we have had irresponsible
pet owners in the past. We do not allow any pets other than dogs. There is 2 kayaks available to use, with access whether the dock is in or not. Dock is only guaranteed to be in in June 1- October 1, however dates do fluctuate (Normally is in the end of April and out the end of Oct.)
Conveniently located to all that Deep Creek has to offer yet, far enough from the hustle and bustle to really feel like you can escape it all. We are 9 miles from Wisp Ski Resort and about 4 miles from several popular restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters, and other attractions.

Matt was a fantastic host. The cabin was very clean and was everything we were hoping for. Parking was a little tight because we had boat trailers but we made it work. Would definitely recommend this place to others and will most likely come back again.

Excellence!

The property was just as listed. It comfortably accommodated my party of 4 adults, 1 toddler, and our dog. The location was perfect and the epitome of relaxation. We spent the days out on the lake in our boat and spent the nights around a campfire. My only concern leading up to the trip was not having AC but the property is shaded and stayed a reasonable temperature with fans (we stayed last week of July). Our group loved it and would definitely stay again.

Wonderful Autumn Getaway

This was a perfect place to gather with our daughter and her family. With a 4 year old and two month old, we stayed at the house a lot. The weather was quite rainy and chilly so we were grateful for a clean, comfortable cabin with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed a camp fire one evening and enjoyed exploring the yard. The peaceful setting was an easy drive to restaurants and state parks. Everything we needed was available and the beds were very comfortable. The large open room was perfect for toys and playing. We appreciated Matt’s availability when we had one question. We’d love to return again in the future.

The property was very quiet, and the views of the lake and the marina were beautiful. The proximity of restaurants and recreational activities was very good. The availability of books was appreciated.Overall, our visit was very enjoyable. We will probably return to this property.

We had a great time here! The location is great - quiet, right on the lake, easy access. We enjoyed the living room with large windows overlooking the lake. The primary bedroom has that great view as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved location. We found the master bedroom sliding screen didn't work and one of the pillows for couch had a hole from which feathers came but could live with both of those issues. The invasion of the ants was a definite issue. Bought some stuff that helped a little. Still enjoyed a good week..

Great Dock

This house is a hidden gem! Cute rustic vibes. Perferct size for a family of 4 and two dogs! Upon arrival the driveway was wooded with plenty of deer. The flag stone could use some work. But, not a problem. The outdoor furniture was a bit old. Rod iron. But, honestly really comfortable. Its a nice easy walk to your dock! Bills marina is just a couple doors down. So the guys were running boats in and out all day. Even though its tucked away there is still boat traffic. We didnt mind it. I just want to let future renter know. The house was clean and very nicley put together. Master on one side. Kids rooms on the other. It does not have AC. So we took some box fans and kept the windows open. Nice big open door sliders to the ouside. We liked the fresh air!The house was not fully stocked. So be prepared to take paper products, soap etc....the washer and dryer did not work properly. But, i told the property manager. Hopefully they will get it fixed. All in all this place is a gem. I just like to give an honest review. Even with some minor things i would change.nWe would definitely stay again! Oh, and the neighborhood is great. I took the dogs on a walk everyday. Very nice loop walk with shade and lots of nature.
Look to the right when coming down the driveway! The deer love to hang out!

Never want to leave

This is an idyllic stone cabin in the woods. It is beautifully decorated and well supplied. The master bedroom is especially comfortable with its lake view. I’m almost always disappointed in the lack of hooks to hang things — not the case here. The kayaks (with life jackets) were such a plus. We used them every day. It’s hard to leave the chairs on the deck, we ate all our meals there. One hint - if your guests don’t like soft beds, you might want to take the soft pad off the bed in the back bedroom. The lack of ac didn’t bother us and we were there in July. Take hammocks with you - lots of trees to hang them from. Next time we might stay for a month

Great getaway

This property is perfect for a family getaway. We had a great time visiting the local “spots” and swimming. Minor issue with the water (no fault of the owner) but was resolved quickly and conveniently. Would love to stay again!

Amazing property

House has a beautiful view of the lake, fireplace for cold nights, great amenities, it looks newly renovated and is very well maintained, and it’s about 10 minutes from basically anything you want.

A perfect lake getaway

This is a delightful lake house, built in the 60s that was recently remodeled and updated, while leaving some of the charm of 60s remaining in the trimwork.The house is clean and well furnished. The kitchen has most everything you need for cooking. There is a nice deck and a fire ring near the lake. The beds are comfy.We enjoyed the wood stove over our Christmas getaway that did a good job keeping the house warm anlong with the radiators. There were plenty of games and things to do in the house and around the lake. The road running by the house is quiet and secluded. There are a couple of other cabins that share the driveway, but all is quiet under the majestic trees that fill the properties. Matt was very responsive with his communications and with making sure we enjoyed our stay. We are contemplating retiring in the summer for another stay here.

beautiful environment, exceptionally quiet since most boats are stored for winter. Very Peaceful if that's what you want. Many businesses are closed in October since this is off season. Groceries and gas and some gifts are available in McHenry.

Beautiful waterfront home for fall getaway

My husband and I can't say enough great things about our stay at this property for a long fall weekend getaway. The inside was comfortable, welcoming, and immaculately clean. It has been well taken care of and the upgrades and decor are a wonderful touch. The outside view of the lake is nothing short of stunning. We were lucky that the dock was still out so we were able to spend hours fishing and relaxing by the water. The owners have done an excellent job making this a great stay for any guest!

Lovely Home

We enjoyed out family stay at Matt's house. The home was clean, kitchen well stocked, nice linens. We chose this house due to the semi-flat walk to the firepit for my elderly parents, this is a rarity in Deep Creek and were lucky to find it. It being dog friendly was icing on the cake!! We used the kayaks provided, fished from the pier, played cards, and had a blast! Location was perfect! Would definitely return! Only mention for improvement would be to fix the dining room table, very wobbly, not friendly for the elderly. Also, the TV in the master did not work, the TV in the living room was super slow to respond for streaming on all platforms. This did not effect our fun so again, only mention for future guests. Last mention is the dog fee, when I first requested to stay the clear mention of two dogs and description was given, When the access instructions were provided, dogs were not shown, then an additional charge was applied and paid. This should have been included in the initial agreement.
