Badminton joy!
Lovely property, wonderful garden and great location. We would say that the price was a bit high given the beds were more like sofa beds but the rest of the property was lovely and easy to use.
Just the cosy cute holiday home I remember when I was a child. Simple, easy and relaxing. What a cute home and really felt private and cosy, with such a great back yard to relax or play games with children.
Light filled chalet in the gorgeous seaside village of Barwon Heads.
This light filled home is truly unique. Filled with treasures from around the world, it was cosy with a lovely wood stove, bedroom in the loft up some stairs, a second bedroom downstairs, and a glorious backyard filled with native plants and birds. Would definitely stay here again, just a 10 minute walk to the lovely village of Barwon Heads.
The only thing it lacked which would have topped it off for us was a bath, but we loved it.

A basic house
A nice house but there was no microwave or WiFi. The dishes were not clean and there was not adequate equipment to wash dishes such as a dish cloth. It was rather bothersome that I had to spend time washing dishes before I could use them. Not good value for money.

Where does one start. Now, what I’m going to write is not a complaint but observations. On entering the house, it had a stale smell, probably been locked up for a while; on the surface it looked clean but a little tired. The window in the lower bed room, I had to force open. I went upstairs to the bedroom loft and found the hand rail was sticky (my partner cleaned it). The kitchen benches clean, some coffee stains on a wall were almost cleaned off, the fridge clean inside and out except for the top of the fridge and the items on it are covered in grime. Do you want me to keep going? I could tell you about the window in the dunny not opening, the badly finished shower or how the three sliding doors that needs a lot of maintenance. Lastly if they were to clean the windows it may make the place sparkle.
We loved our stay in this charming home so close to the beach and shops. Enjoyed the backyard and the games and the fireplace. We do have small children so the stairs and wide timber slats weren’t ideal, which meant a few panicked moments chasing them up the stairs. Besides that, it was just what we needed for a weekend getaway.
Location was ideal for what we needed. Beds were futons so uncomfortable for adults.

Hi Maryanne,
Thanks for the feedback. Beds have innerspring mattresses on them on a futon base - have not had issue with them before.
As you say great location, eclectic cottage, clean, neat and large yard and decks.

While the oven and stove top are dated and difficult to work with the oven not working during our stay, the home was clean, warm and secluded, resulting in a peaceful and relaxing time away while being in a great location

Hi Clara,
Thanks for your note we are so glad you enjoyed the stay, the house is eclectic and has been much appreciated by all guests who stay.
We have had the oven/top checked and there is no issues, you advised the gas bottles had run out and they were both full. Can be a bit daunting using a stove you have not used before. I have also been to the house and used it after it was checked to make sure there were no issues, I made some muffins and they were really good.
Best wishes, keep well. Meryll

Rustic charm
Very basic with “rustic charm”. Beautiful backyard with north facing back deck ruined by long and unkept lawns. Facilities very simple with not a wine glass in sight. Have stayed in many places in Barwon Heads, this is the first time I have been disappointed. Please have an electrician check your place.

Yes the house is eclectic we have added more wine glasses. House has elec safety switch and all working, lawns done every 3 weeks, occuasionally there is a growth spurt. Great location and north facing deck.
Aside from the lack of gas on the first day for cooking ( cylinder replaced by the end of the day). Its a cool little shack. You're only 5min walk from the main drag.
We had such a lovely time. Great relaxed vibe, would definitely stay again.

Cool little house, nicely decorated. Short walk to shops and beach
We enjoyed relaxing on the back deck listening to the birds. after a day at the beach and exploring Barwon heads. The house has so so much charm and zen. We were a bit short on linen and the lawn was quite long. Other than that it’s a great little place to stay
