Beautiful quiet spot with spacious house. Well prepared and stocked. Worked well for us as we attended wedding celebrations at nearby ranch venue. Comfortable beds plenty of towels, helpful labels all over the house.

Excellent choice
Great house for especially for a larger group, everything is very well organized in the house, clean and comfortable.
We had a really nice time catching up with family and celebrating our bride. The location has PLENTY of sleeping accommodations and the it is convenient if you want to spend a day at local areas such at the ski slopes or Buena Vista. The host is exceptional and communicates well.
The house was clean, the property owner was great, it was the perfect place to celebrate my 30th birthday. Close enough to Breckinridge so we could go hang out there. It was great! The kitchen was stocked!
The only issue we had was running out of toilet paper but that’s an easy fix :)
We came to Fairplay for a wedding. We had 12 guest with us. The home was beautiful. Just 5 min outside of FairPlay. Plenty of beds for everyone plus additional beds that were never used. We enjoyed the many amenities. The kitchen was very well stocked!
Beautiful vacation home with plenty of room for a large group. The place was clean and owner was easy to work with. Saw huge herds of elk as we drove up which was amazing. Knew we couldn't have fire in the outdoor fire pit (due to HOA) which was a bummer as it would have been beautiful. All in all a great place and an excellent vacation!
My family soaked up the quality time together at this wonderful property. The owner (Pat) was incredible and so informative. His communications (written and over the phone) were helpful and appreciated. Plenty of room to spread out and great common areas to enjoy everyone’s company. We loved it. Thank you, Pat!

Absolutely Perfect!
This cabin is perfect. The carpentry, design, and usefulness of the cabin is wonderful. We had 3 families (close to 20 people) stay for multiple nights and nobody had problems with finding a place to sleep, read, play games, or watch movies. The fireplace inside and the firepit outside were gathering places we had great discussions and smores! We will always keep this cabin as an option for our gatherings! Thanks Pat for creating a little heaven on earth.

Spacious, clean, comfortable and fun
Our group was very pleased with our experience at High Creek Hideaway. The home was super clean, comfortable and well equipped for our group of 11. We especially appreciated the heated mattresses in the basement (our kids slept really well!), the extra supply of soft blankets, and the big dining table that fit everyone in our group during meals. Our kids were absolutely thrilled to discover the hidden "TV room." The owner was extremely helpful over the phone when I had a question about the outdoor grill. We hope to return some day to this special property.
The home had plenty of room for our family. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with plenty of things to cook with, but a lot of stuff needs upgrading. serving bowls, waffle maker, coffee maker. there were no nonstick pans for cooking. There were plenty of cups, glasses and silverware. We like to cook so I found that the kitchen lacked in having everything we needed. Also, the was a lot of old condiments that should be cleaned out. The cleanliness of the kitchen and living room especially under the couches was not that great.. overall our stay was great, beautiful location!
We had a large family reunion and this house was perfect for it! All of the beds were nice and the pillows were super comfy! Lots of towels and blankets for everyone. The kitchen had everything that we needed plus lots of space for all of our stuff. We used the fire place every night and the sauna was a nice touch that was used as well. The very large dining table with an insert to make it bigger was nice for eating and playing card games. We got perfect weather on our last full day and we had lots of room outside for yard games plus plenty of parking.
The area is nice and quiet and very close to town. If you have a large group then this is the perfect house- so many beds for everyone! Pat was a great host and answered any questions that we had very quickly. Thank you for helping us have a wonderful vacation!

Location in beautiful area.. house had plenty of room for all…
Problem with grill and outside propane firepit.
Perhaps these should’ve been looked at prior to us coming in for the stay to make sure that they worked properly. I was also hoping to use the patio heater on the deck, but that did not have propane in it either. Perhaps they were in the garage, however, it would seem that the management company should’ve had that already and set for us before we arrived . I know Pat was trying to help us with the grill, but we weren’t able to get it going any better.

Fantastic Colorado vacation
We loved this cabin in the woods. We held a small family reunion from three states and we had plenty of space to spread out. The table was very long, perfect for us, but the kitchen was a little tight. We didn’t use the sauna, but it was a fun option. We loved having the pickleball/tennis court available- it was the highest elevation we’ve ever played pickleball! There were a lot of nearby beautiful walks/hikes and it was easy to get to Mt Sherman or Quandary from here to do a 14er. The kitchen amenities were very nice (huge Viking stove). There was an extra refrigerator in the garage, which was also helpful. The owner was very nice and accommodating, and was in contact frequently. If you would like to fish, there are several ponds in the neighborhood that are stocked with trout. We also used the gas fire pit to roast marshmallows.Highly recommend this cabin! We loved it here.

Cozy home, tons of beds, wonderful owners
Our family is spread across the country and got together for Thanksgiving in this beautiful mountain home. Pat was incredibly accommodating before, during, and after our stay. The home is fully stocked for anything you could want to do in the mountains and amenities (towels, tissues, firewood, grills, etc). He has a cool campfire set up outside and a roaring fireplace in the center of the home. The kitchen was well stocked. There were 2 king beds, 2 queen beds, 2 day beds, 1 bunk bed, 9 singles, and 2 double beds. I loved the set up of the two "dorm" type rooms where we could all sleep together. All the sleeping areas have their own thermostat and heated floors throughout make this home toasty all of the time.
The 2 refrigerators and 2 laundry centers were very convenient. Along with the three bathrooms.
This was a wonderful place to stay!! There is a remote feeling, but the town of Fairplay is less than 10 minutes away and you are surrounded by mountains.

Our family is spread out across the US. This was our central gathering place. The accommodations were great. We spent hours around the fireplace reminiscing, playing cards and board games, and just enjoying ourselves.
The house totally filled our needs. Great kitchen, plenty of space for 13 family members to spread out and have fun.
We had no issues or complaints.
Easy to communicate with owner, fast response time, very friendly

Fairplay Reunion
We had a great stay, super accommodations. Host was very helpful in preparing for our group. Checked with us before our stay several times to make sure every thing was ready upon our arrival and followed up after our departure as well.
This was a great cabin for our Cousin Crew Family trip. The bunk room was perfect for the young cousins and the basement was perfect for those with children. We had one cousin in a wheelchair and the main floor room near the bathroom was great. The kitchen and grills were fantastic and perfect for our family-style meals! Thank you for a great family retreat!
The owner was awesome checked in with us and made sure we were taken care of. The property was just as great. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen while the fire kept us nice and cozy. Highly recommended!!!
Indoors was nice and clean. The outside could have had some landscaping improvements. All questions were answered with notes and postings on the doors and within the home.
This property provided a great deal of space for our family as we spent time visiting, playing games, having Colorado experiences, and eating together simply stated just enjoying our family. Thanks for allowing us to use your property.
