Come and enjoy Nature at Lakewood. The house is situated in a partially wooded setting but not far off the road and other neighboring houses. Guests shall behave in a civilized manner and shall be good neighbors, respecting the rights of surrounding property owners. No Fireworks allowed other than on July 4th.

This is the perfect property for the family looking to spend time enjoying nature, bird watching, or just simply relaxing. You might even spot some deer! Try your luck fishing for bass and bluegill in the pond, or grab a good book and sit in the gazebo by the pond. A large flagstone patio with lounge chairs, patio set with umbrella and gas grill is complimented by a large backyard overlooking the pond. This property is pet friendly, so you may bring pets along to enjoy, just check the pets box on your reservation. Ample parking is available in the curved driveway and the two car garage.

Make yourself at home....The house has a fully furnished kitchen, dining room has dining table with six chairs plus a large Island with two stools, Living room , relax on the reclining love seat or sofa in front of the fireplace. Enjoy wi fi throughout the house, however there is no TV. One bath downstairs with shower and one small bedroom with two single beds with drawer of children books and some toys. Washer and dryer. Upstairs, one loft bedroom with one queen bed and one single bed. Bathroom with whirlpool tub, locking double roll doors opening into bedroom with fireplace and Queen size bed. The master bedroom faces the pond with a view of the water fountain. Fire pit in the backyard, come and enjoy!
Corn hole game and Can Jam games for you to use (stored in garage). This property is family friendly with a large yard for children to play outdoors!

Upstairs Garage Apartment available for rent if you need additional room. This space is not rented separately, it is an add-on to the guesthouse reservation to accommodate more guests. The apartment has a kitchen nook complete with microwave, frig, and coffee maker. Dining table with 4 chairs, foosball table, a sofa and recliner, sofa opens up into an queen size sofa bed for extra sleeping accommodations, sheets and bedding provided.
Full size bed, Bathroom with stall shower and vanity completes the apartment. This space is available upon request for an additional $89 per night, plus $40 cleaning fee. Please contact us if you're interested.

State Game Lands #43 is just across the road. Enjoy biking or hiking on the many miles of trails in nearby French Creek State Park. French Creek also has a public swimming pool and large children's playground area. Hopewell Lake is nearby and has canoe and boat rentals available. Historic Hopewell Furnace is within a few miles. Lakewood Retreat, located in Beautiful Berks county, is only a short distance from the Chester and Lancaster county lines. Travel to Lancaster county to see the Amish Farms and see Amish horse and buggies on the road. Valley Forge National Park and Philadelphia with all its sights are less than an hours drive away. Longwood Gardens, Harrisburg, Hershey Park, and historical Gettysburg are approximately one hour drive away.
