Manuela and Victor were on vacation when I arrived, so I got to meet their daughter, Rita! She was so helpful and patient with me as I asked a zillion questions. The place was extremely clean and homey - just wonderful. Rita explained that I had the whole place (there are two other apartments on the grounds) to myself for the week. The trees, the flowers, the plants, the pool, the walking area (just on their property) was fabulous! And once Manuela and Victor returned, they dropped in and introduced themselves and gave even more introductions to the area. You are definitely close to Aveiro and other great spots, if you want. If you want a peaceful, restful place that is close to "action and great restaurants", then their abode is more than worth enjoying. You will not be disappointed. And Manuela makes an awesome fig preserve!

A nice quiet retreat

A well converted farmhouse and lovely garden. The house conversion still reflects the traditional theme. With little traffic in the street, it was really quiet and an extended garden gave more options to relax. And it is still close to the town of Aveiro.
