Beautiful Home

We do a family get away every September and I think this was our favorite place to stay so far. The house was very spacious and we loved the open floor plan! There are plenty of good hanging out/conversation places for family on the porches and by the pool. The house was a very short walk to the beach. This is our first time to Holden Beach and we really loved the area.

Wonderful House for Our First Time in Holden Beach

The house was almost perfect in every way. Comfortable, well-appointed, multiple decks, a pool, a short walk to the beach, covered parking, and an HVAC that worked perfectly. Plenty of kitchen utensils. We spent plenty of time outside on the top floor decks playing cards and games as a family, and the crows nest was incredible at sunrise and sunset. We would definitely return to Shrimply the Best again. One key weakness that I will point out is that the house does not have a freestanding ice maker/machine, which is very helpful for a family. The refrigerator ice maker was woefully underpowered to handle our family of five, so we just bough bags of ice during the week. Not a huge issue.

Great 4th of July Week at Shrimply The Best!

We had a great week staying in Shrimply the Best! The house was very clean and up to date. The layout was perfect for my family of 4 and plenty safe for my children 2 under 2. They even had items for kids, including pack n play, high chair, gate, plates, cups, down to utensils. We had everything we needed to make meals in house and had plenty of room to have family over for a cookout. The pool was nice and clean with privacy fence. We only had one issue where I had to call PM company and that ended up being because of user error but they came quickly. Especially for a Saturday evening holiday weekend. The location was great and close to everything for us to take the golf cart we rented. Last time we stayed on the island we didn’t like how far we were from the bridge and we were pleased that it wasn’t crowded in the area either. The owners have great taste in furnishing/ decor and we especially enjoyed the deck areas! Thanks for having us!

GIRLS GETAWAY

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The place look great and was very clean. Only issue was the freezer did not work. Had to use bags of ice to keep our food cold. Bedroom TV cables were not connected to the TVs just hidden behind them. Had to try and set up the cable (Spectrum) on all the TVs, but it kept defaulting back to an old service (Direct). Finally called maintenance, only a temporary fix on 3 TVs so we just finally gave up trying to watch them. . The pool was dirty upon arrival, the pool man came the next day to clean it.
