About this property
Stone skip to the beach. Spacious & cozy
A spacious and comfortable house with a large shaded yard for outdoor activities and relaxation. Just a block from Oak Street Beach. It's just like coming home. We do a few updates every year which are reflected in the photos.
Three bedrooms includes two with queen size beds and one with two twin beds. With a fold out queen size couch. A family room with large windows and comfortable seating for 8. Full size kitchen and dining area.
Stacked washer and dryer. One and a half bathrooms. The full size bathroom includes a barrier free shower (no tub) and a hand rail by the stool. The half bath is connected to the master bedroom, it is small but functional.
A sizable yard with mature trees, fire pit, picnic table, large patio table and outdoor seating gives your group plenty of room to relax and play.
Just three blocks from Stanley Johnston Memorial Park, a 15 minute walk to downtown South Haven with it's specialty shops and many restaurants. One block from Oak Street Beach. Many festivals, art & craft fairs and local activities throughout the summer. Wine tasting and tours are only a half an hour a way.
Bedding, bath and kitchen towels are supplied. We have basic condiments and seasonings in the kitchen. As well as a starter supply of paper products. Please bring your own beach towels though.
We have two outdoor cameras for security. One at the front door and one on the garage that covers the yard and back door.
This was our family home. Until we can return here at retirement, we'd like to share it with you.

About the host
Hosted by Lou Price

I was raised in South Haven and still consider it "home". This rental is my childhood home that I plan on retiring to. I teach drama, communications, and public speaking. As well as direct plays and musicals at school and at public theater. I am active in the theater as a volunteer. And am often seen onstage at the Kalamazoo Civic Theater, Kindleberger Summer Festival, and Farmers Alley. I also have a few local commercials.
You will often see Kim and I in South Haven to visit the Oak Street Beach and do the yard work at the house. Often we will have my grandsons with us. If there are no grand-kids, we may ride my motorcycle in..

Why they chose this property
This was my childhood home. We grew up on the beach and living in the big side yard playing football, basketball and having many family gatherings. I am still here as often as possible with my girlfriend and grandsons. Since I can't be here all the time I am sharing it with you until I can retire..
