The cottage nestled in colorful flower gardens with views out each window, that included a lake, were very restful. Hearing the loons in the morning were thrilling. The cozy cottage itself was decorated in vintage style which made our stay extra special.

This was such a beautiful cottage. The setting was gorgeous. The lake and gardens were so lovely. The cottage was clean and the area was quiet. We had such a nice time exploring all of the surrounding lakeside towns- very nice central location to many different areas which made for great day trips.

Lovely little cottage on a beautiful property! My husband enjoyed fishing in the rowboat provided. This property is located very conveniently near Traverse City, Leland, as well as Sleeping Bear Dunes. We will likely be back next year!

I traveled with my 9 year old son and mother. The hosts were very gracious and kind. Communication was a breeze and the property is absolutely magical. The cottage is on the water and we had access to a row boat and floating dock. Words and photos don’t do justice to the beauty, tranquility and peace of this property. The location is ideal for sightseeing, close to Sleeping Bear Dunes, lighthouses and the airport. We hope to return! Thank you to our hosts for a memorable vacation we won’t ever forget! We miss you, Dot!

We had a wonderful stay at The Enchanted Cottage on Memorial weekend! The cottage was adorable and the grounds and landscaping were amazing. It had an “On Golden Pond” vibe. Very relaxing. The host has really gone the extra mile here. We loved the cute touches with all the little vases of flowers throughout the cottage. Everything was very clean & well organized. I would love to return soon to see the landscaping in full bloom!

Cozy

Very cozy and cute cottage. Beautiful location but didn’t realize there wouldn’t be much swim access and the bedding and towels had a very musty smell. Otherwise great stay.

Quick weekend getaway with my husband in this cozy cottage. Location was ideal for visiting some of our favorite places (wineries, cedar polka festival and Lake Ann brewery). View of lake was nice and peaceful with just some ducks as neighbors. The stairwell is a little tight for taller people, i am 5'10" and had to do a limbo dance to get downstairs to the bedroom. Gardens surrounding cottage are beautiful.

Mom and Daughters get away.

They had a great stay and enjoyed all the area offered. The cabin is cute and peaceful as the pictures show. Mom did say the bed was really really high but was comfortable.

a wonderful place in all ways

Nothing but excellent things to say here; such a charming place, and Dorina is the best host ever. Unrelated, we loved Lake Ann and also Glen Arbor. I have to do a special shout out to a clothing store called "The Cottonseed" because I especially loved their clothing. We will definitely be back.

Magical Stay

This property was everything I had hoped it would be and more! A beautiful cozy cottage with gorgeous perennial gardens by the lake. It was quiet and quaint. I loved the coziness of the fireplace for the chilly evenings. There were fresh flowers throughout the property for a welcoming touch. It was the perfect getaway and close to all that Northern Muchigan has to offer.

Hidden Gem

If aesthetics matter to you you'll love this little cabin in the woods. Beautiful landscaping meets you upon arrival and welcomes you with a private experience thoughtfully put together. We enjoyed the shade and lake views while grilling dinner after a day of sun on the beach. It's a short 20 minute the Esch Beach for beautiful sunsets. Great time and would definitely stay again!

Splendid Stay!

The property is beautiful, relaxing and quiet. Flowers bloomed everywhere. Friendly dogs welcomed us and showed us to our doorstep. Woke up to the sounds of loons on the lake every morning. Comfy bed. Close to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor and Traverse City. Would 10/10 recommend to others.

Where were the 7 dwarves?

The Garden Cottage is simply magical and I truly did expect the 7 dwarves to come marching by, singing “Hi, ho,hi, ho, it’s off to work we go.” The cottage is charming and so is its owner, Dorina. She is very personable and helpful. We found the location to be great for the things we wanted to do in the area. The shower was great too!

Nice place

Loved Dorina's place - it was so chill and serene. We had a baby and a toddler with us and there was an extra living room downstairs that we could set up their bassinet and crib in which was perfect. Flowers for us in every room, bed was super comfortable and it had everything we needed - in particular, I appreciated having nice pots and pans to use - sometimes in vacation rentals these are just throwaway items from thrift stores, and it was so nice to have clean items. The place was absolutely charming!

Dorina, the cottage owner, is also the owner of Design Strategies. Her detail to decorating and interior design is as much a part of the cottage's enchantment as are the gardens. Her history is displayed throughout the property from days spent with her grandpa as a little girl to now raising her own family here. Coming to the cottage is like coming home again. Everyone seems to find a personal touch that stirs up a fond memory of their own childhood or past.
