Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. You will enjoy your relaxing time at this peaceful hilltop cabin with sweeping forest views. Gather around the gas fire table at night and gaze up at the millions of stars. Sip your morning coffee on the swinging bench. Too cold or wet outside, no worries! We have a cozy indoor gas fireplace you can enjoy! Plenty of room for the whole family. Easy access to hiking/walking trails nearby. Enjoy the nearby wildlife preserve and large county park!
Kachina Village is a peaceful, forested community just seven miles south of downtown Flagstaff, offering the perfect balance between quiet mountain living and convenient access to town. Surrounded by towering ponderosa pines, this neighborhood feels like a secluded woodland retreat, yet it’s only a short drive from Flagstaff’s restaurants, shops, and attractions. Originally developed in the 1960s as a cabin-style getaway community, Kachina features a charming mix of rustic log cabins, A-frames, and newer mountain homes, all nestled on spacious, tree-filled lots. A small commercial area nearby provides essentials such as gas, groceries, and local services, while major stores and entertainment are within easy reach in Flagstaff.
Nature lovers will find endless opportunities to explore right from the neighborhood, with scenic trails like the Kachina Trail and Kachina Wetlands Loop offering miles of hiking through meadows, aspen groves, and basalt cliffs. The area’s tranquil setting, cool mountain air, and abundant wildlife make it ideal for guests seeking a true Northern Arizona forest experience. Whether you’re visiting to hike, ski, stargaze, or simply unwind beneath the pines, Kachina Village captures the essence of Flagstaff’s outdoor lifestyle — serene, scenic, and authentically mountain.
Kachina Village is also perfect for the guests that will be on the move because you can easily access big trails, major highways and the Flagstaff airport. Kachina Village is located just 10 minutes south of Flagstaff, convenient to Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, both the I17 (Highway to/from Phoenix) and I40 (west to Williams and the Grand Canyon, and east to Winslow), Highway 89 (South to Sedona and Verde Valley, North to Sunset Crater, Lake Powell, North Rim of Grand Canyon), as well as Highway 180 to Snowbowl and the Grand Canyon. Fort Tuthill County Park (Flagstaff Extreme Adventure Course, Bike Park, Pepsi Amphitheater, Overland Expo, Rodeo, County Fair, etc.) is located to the north less than 10 minutes.
