The lodge was perfect for 8 of us, secluded, peaceful, clean, tidy, warm and well equipped.

We all had a fab time, just what we needed, we have a girls weekend every year and this is by far the best place we have stayed in, we cycled, hot tubbed, walked, ate, drank and totally relaxed. We loved the view and the peace, the area was perfect for us too, places to go for coffee and lunch. Thanks so much, we will be back I’m sure.

Ardeonaig Lodge - Absolutely perfect in every way

Cannot find enough great things to say about this holiday home. There is everything you need to have a great break away. I brought my three children (17, 14 & 9) to Scotland from Southern England, a long drive but well worth it. We arrived and everything was perfect from the moment we turned the key. The decoration is simple and very tasteful, with some lovely, subtle pieces of artwork here and there. Wonderful kitchen with everything you could want, comfy beds and bedlinen, and the views...... just perfect. We were unlucky with the weather, very cold for August - 9 degrees some days! But the hot tub and games were enough to keep all of mine contented for the whole week, which was a wonderful surprise! We found we chatted and laughed together more than we get the chance to in our busy lives 'down south'. There was only one supermarket/grocery store, in nearby Killin, but it actually had everything we needed. We ate out at a couple of local pubs, both of which offered plenty of local produce and at good value prices. We got great use out of the hot tub (several times each day!!) and enjoyed open fires in the evenings. I heartily recommend Ardeonaig Lodge. I know you will enjoy your stay as much as we did!!

A truly stunning location.

A truly breathtaking location on the edge of Loch Tay & overlooking the mighty Ben Lawers. The lodge itself is beautifully furnished in every way & has lots of space, especially the kitchen & lounge, where you need it most. There's a fantastic decking area, not to mention the hot tub overlooking the loch. Our 9 & 13 year old children had a fantastic time. Highly recommended.

About the host

Host profile image
I live in Scotland with my two children and operate a holiday cottage business on the shores of Loch Tay in the Scottish Highlands and a ski chalet business in the heart of the Swiss Alps.

The properties range in style, age and size - they range from renovated farm steadings to alpine chalets, but all have a great sense of homeliness and beautiful views to help everyone unwind and enjoy their holidays, no matter how old or young they may be!

Why they chose this property

Loch Tay is a fantastic location for holidays and there is so much to do in the area, no matter the time of the year. Ardeonaig Lodge can be reached in just two hours from Glasgow or Edinburgh, but is still tucked away from the buzz of daily life. Ardeonaig is a really special place as it is hidden away in a secluded location with amazing views over the surrounding meadows and Loch Tay which is just a few metres from the house. These views are particularly enjoyable from the hot tub after a day on the hills! Also very convenient is the Ardeonaig Hotel, which is just several minutes walk away for a lovely meal!

What makes this property unique

Loch Tay offers guests numerous opportunities for fishing (from our shores), climbing (we are located just opposite the mighty Ben Lawers mountain), boating on the loch, visiting castles, distilleries, golf and all just on our doorstep! The property itself offers a spacious, homely and peaceful retreat after all of these activities, to relax at the end of the day on the patio or in the hot tub. Also very convenient is the Ardeonaig Hotel, which is just several minutes walk away for a lovely meal!
