Witt's Inn By The Sea is a pure reality of a 40-year dream come true. Glide through the community gates and enter into a vacation haven. Lined with tropical palm trees, the property features multi-level ocean-view outdoor spaces, including a private zero-entry pool! From the USA-supplied furniture to the locally designed artwork that brings life to this oceanfront home, this elegant masterpiece offers luxury, style, relaxation, and full, undeniable peace of mind.

Admire panoramic ocean views from nearly every room, including an enormous kitchen outfitted with a huge center island, gas range, double oven, two dishwashers, commercial ice-maker, and fridge/freezer, as well as a bonus fridge/freezer in the walk-in pantry. An ornate chandelier illuminates the 10-seat dining table, while the adjacent living room is anchored by a fireplace and large TV. A second living room awaits on the lower level where a pool table and TV with a soundbar are backdropped by the large deck and pool. The discovery of a wet bar near the billiards table invites thoughts of delicious drinks while lining up your next shot.

Enjoy two luxurious suites with private balconies, four guest bedrooms, and a kid's bunk room with convenient USB ports beside each bed. All of the rooms have 4K HD TVs and an en suite bathroom with a uniquely designed two-person walk-in shower.

Wall-to-wall windows allow the elegant interior spaces to extend effortlessly to the outdoor landscape. The massive 20-foot by 44-foot top-floor deck offers abundant seating including a sectional lounge area, Adirondack chairs, and chaise loungers for soaking up the sunshine.

Experience ultimate relaxation in your beach zero-entry pool (six feet in depth) and a 12-person spillover spa. The pool is complete with a sunbathing ledge, while the enclosed shower and a separate bathroom add convenience to the pool deck. Make use of the outdoor kitchen and host a family cookout. The space is fitted with a grill and broiler, mini-fridge, sink, and an eight-seat bar. Find more covered seating at two, four-person tables and a large outdoor sofa. I loved that the beds were made and towels provided were good quality and kitchen cookware and glassware was very good. The interior paneling was new and good....the baths were a bit small and need updated and the walkway to beach is dilapidated but that was the only things I didn't like

I stay in this house every year for a family vacation. 2 of the 3 tv’s do not work. The TV’s in the bedroom do not work. We love this house but feel like the bedroom TV’s should be updated and should work since this is listed as an amenity

Good old beach house, good value

We had a great week in Windalear. Appreciated the new walkway and the new walk-in shower. It is a good value for a beachfront house. Owner might consider new living area furnishing - especially the couch, which seemed to need new cushions to replace old dirty ones. Ants in the hall bath, roach in the kitchen. Screened porch is a good space.

Traditional Beach Cottage

Windalear is what beach cottages are meant to be. No frills. Just like when I was growing up. Its the opposite of these plush new houses overtaking our beaches. Beach lovers are there to be outside not inside! But it has everything that people ask for within its weathered walls for comfort as well if you need it. Great time!

Gorgeous views and loved being on the beach for a week.

Beautiful outside deck and walking path/deck to the beach. Loved listening to the waves crashing while sleeping. Great size shower. Large comfortable couch's for late night family movies. Light fixtures and trim were very dusty. The staff members were quick to act on an ant issue in the bathroom and a over that didnt work. All issues were resolved very quicklu and this is the reason im rating it a 4. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nostalgic beach house

We have stayed here 4 times. It’s not for everyone. The photos are brightened by a huge amount. The house is not at all that bright. Dark paneling, very few if any updates BUT if you are looking for a beach experience like long ago- I believe it’s one of the oldest houses on the island - this place is for you. We will probably go again.

This house needs a lot of repairs. Mice inside the home and rats outside the home. The house is beach front but too expensive for what you get!

Vacation for family of 4

This is our 2nd year coming to Holden Beach. The Windalear was very nice. We love being oceanfront and having our own private access. The front porch overlooking the dunes/ocean was great! We stayed early June of this year and the weather was perfect. Even enjoyed a couple of Beach storms from the enclosed front porch. We did find one rather large palmetto bugs in a kitchen cabinet. Vacasa sent someone to put out traps and spray the outside. Wasn't too much of a bother and only saw the one. The master bed could have been a little comfier but overall our trip was great! Kitchen was more than fully stocked with nice pots and pans. Everything you needed and some. It was also very convenient to have the washer and dryer right in the kitchen vs downstairs.

Not as promised

The reviews are all so generous- or maybe this property was better maintained previously. The house was dirty and had a musty odor (not the cleaning crews fault- the owner seems to do 0 maintenance). The walkway to the beach was torn down during our visit- we were told about it an HOUR before check in. The outdoor shower didn’t have a light and was pretty unusable. Patty at vacasa was an angel and they make her play the middle man to a lot of nonsense so I hope they pay her well! The house desperately needs a deep clean and significant updates. Nonetheless, the beach was great, and we’ll be returning to the island again next year, albeit at a different house.
