We stayed at this 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home in Hicksville from March 26–30. Unfortunately, the property was not ready at check-in. We arrived around 5:00 PM (after the 4:00 PM check-in time) and found the home unclean. The host responded promptly and sent a cleaner, who explained that the previous guests had checked out late and left the home in poor condition. While she made an effort, the property was still not fully cleaned.There were several issues, including broken cabinet doors, dirty dishes left in the oven, and no basic kitchen items such as utensils, pots, or pans upon arrival. We had to go out for dinner the first night and improvise breakfast the next morning. Some items were later provided, but we still had to purchase essentials like dish soap and cooking utensils.Overall cleanliness was below acceptable standards, and we ended up doing some cleaning ourselves. Our group of six spent most of the time outside the property, returning mainly to sleep.The floor heating panels were all coming apart. We were given a code to open the lockbox, but the host and cleaning lady knew the code as well. We were also contacted about high water usage during our stay, which was unexpected. The host said that the water company called to let him know there was an excess
