This beautiful mid century ranch home, custom built in 1955 on a .25 acre lot, is located in the quiet and serene Taquitz River Estates near downtown Palm Springs. This area features some of the earliest custom homes and largest lots that were developed in early Palm Springs. The home is very private – surrounded by lush walls of hedges. Entry to the home is through an electric gate from the street or a secured entry gate leading to the front courtyard.
The open living/dining area is accessible through French doors to the front yard with desert landscaping with an additional covered seating area and through 2 sets of double French doors to the patio/terrace and large landscaped backyard. The focal point of this living space is a floor to ceiling double-sided brick fireplace with glass flames. This area includes seating and dining areas, large flat screen wall mounted TV, Wi-fi , and a music system wired throughout the home.
The house is nicely furnished like your own home with a stylish glass/Lucite dining table, mid century seating and attention to detail. It is comfortable and inviting.
The kitchen is updated and modern with spacious cabinets and Caesar stone counters. The stainless steel refrigerator, micro-wave oven and gas range with convection oven. The kitchen is fully equipped with beautiful glassware, china, serving dishes and platters, gourmet cookware and all the items that you prefer in your own home.
The bedrooms are all private and in separate areas of the home. The master bedroom has a walk in closet, Glass Shower and French doors which open and overlook the back yard and pool. The second bedroom, accessed through the hall , has French doors to the side desert yard, a full wall of closet space and an adjacent bath with an open rain shower design. This bedroom/bath offers additional privacy from the rest of the home.
The third bedroom is adjacent to the kitchen, with French doors to the front desert landscaping and a small but functional pool bathroom with a toilet and shower. This bath also provides access to the back yard and can be used from the terrace/pool area.
Each bedroom has high-end linens, plush towels, pool towels and all the requisite comforts for your stay.
The seamless indoor/outdoor flow continues to a large lattice covered terrace with seating and dining areas overlooking the huge pool- over eight feet deep. The rear yard contains custom patio furniture, beautiful lounge chairs, seating areas with umbrellas, , BBQ, and a large grass area with total privacy.
The south facing yard, pool and large in ground spa provide the backdrop to spectacular/mesmerizing mountain views as well as the hundreds of palm trees the city is known for. This property is a stunning example of how to live in Palm Springs.
At Casa Vista you will be greeted by our local host, subject to Covid restrictions, who will provide you with a tour of our home and will familiarize you with the property. This property adheres to Palm Springs Covid regulations with 24 hour separation between guests.
In many vacation rentals you'll find the garage to be "off limits" and others that do not stock paper products, soaps , detergents and propane for the BBQ. Not so at Casa Vista. Our goal is to provide our guests with the best possible vacation experience.
The home is conveniently located 5-10 minutes from the airport. It is a short walk/or drive to downtown shops and restaurants as well as all the world class Palm Springs area activities.
The property is within walking distance to the Palm Canyon stop for the "BUZZ", the popular FREE trolley service linking the property to/from downtown Palm Springs. The service operates every Thursday to Sunday from 11:00 am to 1:00 am at 15 minute intervals.
Rarely is a home of this comfort and quality available as a rental.
There is a $200.00 cleaning fee and an optional fee of $70.00 per day to heat the pool in the cold months.
CANCELLATIONS - A thirty (30) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 30 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full rental amount excluding security deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS - Monthly renters must cancel ninety (90) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least sixty (60) days prior to check-in.

This house is perfect. It is beautifully situated, comfortably and stylishly decorated and quiet. I would recommend and look forward to staying here again.
Host was communicative and welcoming. The house is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood within walking distance to some a nice coffee shop and a few restaurants. The landscaping around the house is lovely....a real desert garden. The house was well equipped and beautifully decorated.
With rain and cooler weather we did not use the pool or hot tub. The nighttime lighting was beautiful! The kitchen was very well stocked. All questions for the property manager were answered promptly.
Convenient to all Palm Springs has to offer and a beautiful and conveniently laid out space to relax. There is a well equipped kitchen and large pool with hot tub. I have stayed here more than once, and would recommend it highly. The hosts and property manager are helpful and available.
Beautifully landscaped. Comfortable beds. House is stocked with all the essentials. Well located, just minutes to downtown Palm Springs. Quiet. We would stay again! Note that there is a $75 per day fee to heat the pool.
My family (3 adult women) very much enjoyed our stay at this home. The house is located easy driving distance from shopping district and airport. We also did a walking tour in the Twin Palms neighborhood, which is close by. The house is exactly as described. Very clean, plenty of supplies, nice pool, and lots of outdoor space. We all agreed that we would stay here again.
My family (kids 13, 11, 9) had a wonderful time in this home. There was great space with three bedrooms and three bathrooms (three showers!) and a well stocked kitchen with all the dishes and cooking items we could need. The kids loved the pool and hot tub and used it even when the temperature s outside were cooler. The home was in a nice neighborhood and a great location for grocery, restaurant, etc. We had a great stay. The property manager met us when we arrived and gave an overview of everything and that was helpful too. Would definitely stay again!
An excellently located and well-provisioned house with a great pool and luxurious touches. It could accommodate more people than we had, with a bath for each bedroom. The kitchen was well laid out and with fully supplied kitchen needs. There is a cool working gas fireplace and entertainment set up so you can play music over the house speakers. I would stay here again.
Been traveling to Palm Springs for about 20 years. Love visiting in early April. House worked out great for us, very close to downtown. Pool worked great, but you need to pay for heating. Never used the hot tub, as the weather was too hot.. We never cooked, but the house has more dishes and glassware than you would ever need. Loved the fact the house was air conditioned, as it came on every day by 11am.

We really enjoyed this delightful property. It features a large, private yard, a beautiful pool, and a convenient location near downtown Palm Springs. The house is lovely and very nicely furnished. David, the on-site property manager, was friendly, professional and highly responsive. We have recommended this property to friends who visit Palm Springs every winter. It is a wonderful place!
What a wonderful house and time! Brought friends to PS for their birthdays/NYE/first time adventure. The owner and PM were great and everything was ready when we arrived. The house is nicely located to downtown and far enough away that it’s quiet. We will definitely consider this house for the future!
We enjoyed our stay and rarely left the property. The backyard seating and pool are well shaded with south facing exposure. The view of the mountains are spectacular and the pool was the best part of the stay. We swam multiple times a day and enjoyed the large pool with enough space and shade for everyone to float around. The pool is deep and gets deep fast, so great for active kids and swimmers. The kitchen is the best equipped we have ever seen in a rental. The bedrooms are private and separated from each other just as advertised. The cabana bath is a great feature off the third bedroom to keep the wet kids from running through the house. Extra towels and rugs made it easy to keep the house clean during our visit. Two bedrooms have outside shades that are motorized from a switch from inside and help keep the rooms cool and comfortable. We wish the twin bedroom also had that same feature or blackout curtains since the exterior Iights illuminated the room. The place is a wonderful place to stay and the owner and caretaker are quick to respond and helpful. We plan to return again!
Beautiful and stylish mid century home in a great neighborhood! The pool was big enough to swim laps every morning. There was enough space in the house to comfortably work remote during the day and then enjoy the pool or nearby restaurants in the evening. All this and dog friendly too - with a good size lawn in the backyard. Can’t wait to stay here again.

Our neighborhood was developed in the 1950's with many interesting homes and properties. Our home is a traditional ranch home. All rooms open to the outdoors and the large terrace is an extension of the home... easy, sunny, living in the desert. The home has been carefully furnished as an elegant and tasteful residence with all the high end linens, kitchenware, and soft goods that you would appreciate it your own home. This is your second home in the desert...enjoy the privacy and relaxation...
What makes this property unique
Our home is most comfortable for 3 couples. There are sleeping accommodations for six. We request that total daytime residents/guests be limited to 10 persons. All sleeping areas are separated and private. There are stunning mountain views from the front and back yards. The property is secluded and quiet. Palm Springs strictly enforces the noise ordinance and we request that you are respective of the ordinance (tot 6084).
