We are located in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest in the Hamlet of Margaret Georgia, near many outdoor attractions, world class fly fishing, rivers and streams, countless hiking trails including the Appalachian Trail, waterfalls, and state and national parks and forests.
This Glampground is situated on heavily wooded 16 acre parcel bordering national forest. Close to Coopers Creek, the Toccoa River, Rock Creek, Deep Hole Recreation Area, the Toccoa River Swing Bridge, the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail, and much much more.
Each site includes a heavy canvas 16'x20' tent with an extended rainfly to provide a covered deck complete with Adirondack chairs. Inside you'll find a queen size log bed with bedding, a bunk with 2 cots (please bring sleeping bags) 2 side tables with lamps that have USB charging ports, an end of bed bench, a luggage rack, heaters for the winter and fans for the summer. Outside you'll find a firepit area and charcoal grill. We have a camp store on site for necessities such as firewood and charcoal, with a rental center for extra cots, sleeping bags and camping supplies. The Glampground is served by a common bathhouse which includes 3 unisex toilet rooms, 2 unisex shower rooms, a full bathroom with shower and an ADA compliant full bathroom (under construction),
A little bit more about our glamping culture:
• We love our beautiful and natural surroundings. We do everything we can to protect the rural and community-centric atmosphere of Suches, Georgia. There is nothing like the natural peace and serenity of a mountainous national forest and boundless rivers and creeks. We tread lightly on the earth. We do our very best to Leave No Trace.
• We experience an abundance of wildlife (deer, snakes, bears) in the mountains. We don’t kill any living thing whether it be an animal or a tree unless necessary or intent on doing us or someone else harm. We prefer to ‘let it be.”
• We hope you enjoy our resort as much as we do. We embrace our motto: Come as guests, leave as friends, and return as family. We hope you will return time and again.
