This home was the perfect place for our 2 families to stay to celebrate the engagement of our son and their daughter. The home was clean and well equipped. The outdoor areas far exceeded our expectations. We were able to spread out and really enjoy being together in close/walking distance to downtown St Augustine. The host was very responsive and sent us a great list of recommended places to eat and things to do in the area. I would definitely stay here again and could not have been more pleased with our stay.
Overall we had a good stay. We had 14 adults (7 couples) ranging from 46 to 78 years old. We selected this property for the number of bedrooms/bathrooms and the outdoor space. Overall it was good however there were a few things that prevented it from being a "5" in our opinion. In the main house, both of the bedside lamps in the bedroom were not operational - this was not a bulb issue. In two other bedrooms, they each had a lamp with a burned out bulb however while there were extra lightbulbs in the house, none of them fit the lamps. The outdoor space was nice however the large sofa under the patio cover was dirty and the cushions had mold on them. In addition there was something (looked like chocolate ice cream) all over the table and the arms of the sofa. On one of the patio tables, the umbrella was torn and hanging. Also, we had someone in the pool one day when we went to go out and use it, it was a gentleman and some children. We texted the owner and he said he would reach out to them. The following day, they were outside sitting around the fire pit. My understanding is they were in another one of the small houses on the property, but not the two we rented. We understood we would not be sharing the outdoor space or pool with anyone else - which the owner verified. All in all, we enjoyed the property but it's not quite as pristine and clean as the pictures make it appear. The bathrooms each had 1 towel and 1 washcloth so make sure you take laundry soap.

Thank you, Kimberly, for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad your group enjoyed the home and that it was a good fit for your gathering.
We sincerely apologize for the maintenance items you encountered. The lamp bulbs, patio umbrella, and outdoor furniture have all been addressed to ensure future guests have a better experience.
We also appreciate you bringing the pool situation to our attention during your stay. The guests you encountered had stayed at the property years before we purchased it, when the previous owner had different policies regarding shared outdoor spaces. They mistakenly believed those rules were still in place. Once we became aware of the misunderstanding, we addressed it immediately and have since taken additional steps to ensure all guests clearly understand that the pool and outdoor amenities are reserved exclusively for the home that has booked them.
Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback. We truly appreciate it, and we’re glad your group still enjoyed your stay. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.
