Cozy wainscot interior with comforts for a couple (two people). Cottage has one bedroom with a queen bed, a living room with a sofa and two chairs. There is a breakfast bar and a small dining table. The kitchen has a gas stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The location is the highlight, in private vacation enclave (historic resort property) on the shore of Long Lake in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. Steep path to the shared beach. Close to hiking trails and great fishing right off the dock. Only 7 miles from the famous Adirondack Museum-Adirondack Experience and 25 minutes from the spectacular Wild Center and Wild Walk at Tupper Lake.

Fifth-generation Adirondacker, Richard and his family live on adjacent property. Richard is a professional property manager and his wife works at a local museum. They have traveled extensively and welcome guests to their lakefront cottage.

Why they chose this property

The Honeymoon has been helping guest create beautiful memories for over 100 years. It is located on the former Deerland Lodge property, a resort from the turn of the last century. It has been renovated to have modern conveniences with old world charm. An enclosed iron tub provides a perfect spot for a bubble bath after a long hike or day lounging on the dock.
