Just 1.5 miles from the hamlet of Indian Lake, you'll find the Town of Indian Lake Public Beach on Lake Abanakee, accessible via Chain Lakes Road. This tranquil spot features a sandy swimming area, a floating dock, Red Cross-certified lifeguards, public restrooms, a covered pavilion, volleyball court, and swings.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the Sawyer Mountain Trailhead is nearby, offering a 2.1-mile hike with scenic views. Another great option is the OK Slip Falls hike, known for its beautiful waterfall and peaceful surroundings. In winter, enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing. Indian Lake is also known as the "Moose Capital of the Northeast," providing great wildlife viewing opportunities.
Gore Mountain, New York's largest ski resort, is just a 20-minute drive from the studio.
