The design of the house is fun, old-style Tucson with unique stone and rocks fountains-no water now, naturally- as seen in the pictures. Comfortable house, nice kitchen, lots of light and a wonderful backyard with plants, birds, sun ad shade as desired. Great owners, very responsive to any questions, and nice touch with a bottle of wine welcome gift ;-)
This property is NOT ready for guests!! Washing machine & dryer in the center of the kitchen! Cleaning materials on kitchen counter. No flooring under kitchen sink. Mop & bucket in entry hall. Only one bathroom usable. No TP in house!

Master bedroom bathroom was not working, things around the house
An older home that is being updated. It was very clean and comfortable. It had good new appliances including a washer and dryer. The septic system backed up in one bathroom so we could not use it. The plumber came by after a few days but couldn’t fix it during our stay. New blinds or curtains are needed for privacy. The fenced back yard is good for dogs. The host was easy to contact by text messaging.

Property looks nothing like the pictures.
The property has fallen into disrepair. It looks nothing like the pictures on VRBO. We stayed there for 2 weeks. On the day we arrived, we were told that we could not use the master bathroom at all due to a plumbing issue. No repair person ever came during our visit, but we were "thanked for our patience."

Good location
Property is located near shopping, restaurants and outdoor activities. A bit of a problem getting the entry code as the host did not respond to email or voice msg, but it was resolved after getting another phone number from the next door rental occupant. The house is spacious and clean. Furniture/master bed somewhat comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked, but appears to be a work in progress. Ice/water dispenser in fridge door did not work nor did the ice maker. Bathrooms were clean, but could get temp if water in hall bath past lukewarm. Master bath shower was fine. We enjoyed sitting in the back yard in comfortable chairs watch sunsets. Overall, a nice enough place, but improvements needed. Blinds in master bedroom and living room broken and missing panels, so had to hang sheets over bedroom window to insure privacy.
The landscape was a little difficult for a disabled person.
The maintenance of the home was not up to the standard I expected. Water temperature in the small bathroom shower was luke warrn at best, the kitchen cabinets were old and dysfunctional, the vertical blinds were missing slats, and the beds were not very comfortable. On the positive side, it was private and quiet. It’s a perfect place for a nature lover and it was convenient to anything we needed.
We wanted to try escaping the spring snows at home and to find a warm spot for a longer stay. This house was just right. It is a bit funky with the rock structure in the front but inside the house is a basic one with a well-equipped kitchen and a nice patio area.
This was a great place. Loved the location and the seclusion of the property. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. When a problem arose the owners were very quick to get it resolved. We would definitely stay again.
Erman and Jessica were great hosts. We stayed in this home for 2 months and we really enjoyed our time there. We had everything we needed to cook at home, there was a big fenced back yard for our dog and it was very comfortable. We also enjoyed watching the wildlife out the patio door. Seeing baby quail was a big bonus. It was a great location, close to shopping and easy to get to all areas of Tucson. A great place to get to know Tucson.
It fit the needs of our stay and close to the college where we were going each day.

We were disappointed.
From the pictures, we expected it to be a little funky, but actually it went beyond that. Doors were missing from cabinets, there were no towel racks or toilet paper holders, no toiletries, minimal linens, very noisy furnace and other appliances, an ill furnished kitchen. . .we rate it at a two because at least it was clean and it was, for us, a good location—close to some wonderful hiking.

About the host
Hosted by Jessica and Erman
Hi there! I’m Jessica, a Tucson local who absolutely loves everything about the desert lifestyle—from our stunning sunsets and mountain views to the peaceful, starry nights. When I’m not spending time with my family or working in real estate and floral design, I enjoy exploring new hiking trails, trying out local restaurants, and soaking up the natural beauty that surrounds us here in Southern Arizona.
Being a host is such a joy for me—I love sharing the charm of Tucson with others and helping guests create unforgettable memories. Whether you’re here for adventure or relaxation, I’m excited to help make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible!
Why they chose this property
Our home is nestled in the beautiful Catalina Foothills, one of Tucson’s most scenic and sought-after neighborhoods. Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Catalina Mountains, this area is known for its peaceful atmosphere, desert charm, and incredible sunsets. You’ll often spot wildlife like quail, jackrabbits, and even the occasional bobcat wandering through the natural desert landscape.
What I love most about this neighborhood is how it offers the best of both worlds—it feels like a private desert retreat, yet you’re just minutes away from great restaurants, shopping, hiking trails, and all the culture Tucson has to offer. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet morning with coffee on the patio or heading out to explore, the Catalina Foothills make every moment feel special.
What makes this property unique
What makes our property truly stand out is the perfect blend of authentic Southwestern charm and outdoor living. From the hand-laid stonework in the front yard to the panoramic views of the Catalina Mountains and fiery desert sunsets, this home captures the essence of Tucson.
The spacious backyard is a guest favorite—with a BBQ, huge fire pit (big enough for a pig roast!), and plenty of room to relax under the stars. Inside, the home is thoughtfully set up to comfortably host families or groups, with cozy bedrooms, a game area, and a smart TV for unwinding after a day of adventure.
It’s also ideally located—peaceful and private, yet close enough to the city to easily enjoy all of Tucson’s local dining, shopping, and outdoor experiences. It’s the kind of place where lasting memories are made.
