About the host
Hosted by AMANDA JENSEN
Sanctuary Treehouse Resort began as a family dream—create a place where people could slow down, reconnect, and feel childlike wonder again. We fell in love with this 40-acre mountaintop property the first time we stood beneath its trees. With breathtaking Great Smoky Mountain views, wooded privacy, and overlooks of two championship golf courses, we knew it was the perfect canvas for something extraordinary.
We didn’t want to build “just another place to sleep.” We set out to create an experience—treehouses that feel like stepping into a storybook, paired with modern comfort and handcrafted details. Each treehouse is uniquely themed and filled with custom, interactive features you won’t find anywhere else because they’re built right here, just for our guests.
Outside the treehouses, the adventure continues. Every stay includes our 1-mile scavenger hunt across the resort—complete with a map, compasses, and flashlights—leading guests through the woods to hidden surprises and a treasure at the end. It’s one of the most-loved parts of the Sanctuary experience and creates the kind of memories families talk about for years. We also designed gathering spaces like our outdoor community kitchen and firepit area, where guests can cook, relax, and soak in the mountain air together.
In just a few short years, we’ve welcomed guests from all over the world, earned incredible reviews, and grown into the world’s first and largest treehouse resort—now featuring 18 treehouses. Most of all, we’ve been moved by the stories our guests share: celebrations, proposals, family reunions, healing trips, and “we needed this” getaways. That’s why we keep building—because Sanctuary isn’t just a resort. It’s a place to make unforgettable memories in the treetops.

Why they chose this property
We chose this location because it gives guests the best of the Smoky Mountains in one unforgettable setting. Sanctuary Treehouse Resort sits on 40 private acres in Sevierville, surrounded by woods and wildlife, with sweeping views of the Great Smoky Mountains, the Little Pigeon River, and two 18-hole championship golf courses right below us. It feels peaceful and remote—yet you’re only minutes from the area’s best dining, shopping, and attractions in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg.
The “scene” here is pure Smokies: misty mountain mornings, golden sunsets over the treetops, crisp air, and the calming sound of nature all around. Deer, wild turkeys, and birds are regular visitors, and the views change beautifully with every season—from lush summer greens to colorful fall ridgelines and snow-dusted winter wonderlands.
What we enjoy most is the balance. Guests get true privacy and space to unplug, but they can easily head out for entertainment and come back to a quiet retreat in the trees. It’s the kind of neighborhood that invites you to slow down—cook by the outdoor community kitchen, gather around the firepit, and explore our 1-mile scavenger hunt—then end the night under the stars with the mountains in the distance.
