Our stay was absolutely fantastic, but what truly made this trip special was the incredible hospitality of our hosts, Nick and Anick. We ran into some unexpected vehicle trouble right before we were supposed to head up and had to adjust our travel plans. Nick and Anick were incredibly accommodating and pushed our reservation back without hesitation, saving our much-needed vacation. We are so appreciative of their understanding and flexibility! The property itself was exactly what we were looking for. It was spotlessly clean and situated right on a beautiful lakefront. Relaxing in the excellent hot tub while taking in the views was a major highlight of the trip. The location strikes the perfect balance between a peaceful retreat and easy convenience. There is a great distillery(Black Harbours Distillers)just down the street that is definitely worth a visit. Additionally, there is a little town only a 10-minute drive away that has everything you need to stock up on groceries, drinks, and gas.As well as a cute place to grab lunch and a good burger(The Savary Plate). Whenever we wanted to explore a bit more, Halifax was just an easy 45-minute drive away.We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or better hosts. Highly recommend!
We had a great, relaxing girls weekend! The property is beautiful, hot tub was wonderful and the home was very clean and fully stocked. We hope to be back!

About the host
Hosted by Anick and Eric
We’re a husband-and-wife team—a general contractor and a forensic accountant—who share a love for the outdoors, biking, dodgeball, pickleball, travelling and exploring new places. Alongside our busy family life with our kids and Frenchtons, we’re passionate about creating memorable experiences for others. Originally from the Laurentians in Quebec, we moved to Nova Scotia in 2014 and quickly fell in love with its beauty, charm, and coastal lifestyle. In 2020, we launched Fox Point Shore Rentals, starting with an oceanfront property and later expanding to include peaceful lakefront retreats. What we enjoy most is seeing families and friends make lasting memories in our spaces—just like we do with our own.
