This space checks all the boxes. Clean, organized, and has everything you need. Comfy beds, updated appliances, and a spectacular deck with a view of the mountains. The hot tub was a highlight for sure. We would definitely recommend this VRBO and the hosts were awesome too. It’s the perfect family retreat spot.

Thank you Joni! Our family has put so much work and love to create the best experience for guests.
Highly Recommend! My family of four recently stayed at this amazing property while we toured the redwoods along the Avenue of the Giants. This property was absolutely perfect. Located on the Avenue of the Giants, and backing up to the Eel River, this property provided the ideal "home base" from which began our daily adventures. The fact that the house is located down a short driveway and is nestled among several trees, completely silences any road noise that might otherwise reach the house. The interior of the house is absolutely outstanding. The kitchen is furnished with everything a traveler might need to make cooking and eating at home easy. The living area has a giant wrap-around sofa, along with a few chairs and a smart TV, which makes hanging out and relaxing with family a comfortable option. The large dining room table behind the living room is perfect for family meals as well as playing games. All of the bedrooms are furnished with extremely comfortable beds and bedding. Topping all of those things off, is the wonderfully relaxing hot tub on the back deck that enables a relaxing end, with a gorgeous view, to each day's activities.Additionally, the owners have gone the "extra mile" by providing a variety of games for indoor play as well as numerous land and water "toys" for outdoor fun.The owners' quick and detailed communication made everything about staying at this property easy. In summary: Outstanding!
What a truly amazing property! The first thing you notice when you walk in are the incredible floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over the redwoods and the mountains across the way. We especially loved the mid-century feel of the entire place, just our style. Plenty of seating for everyone to watch TV at night or play games nearby, that is if you aren't too wiped out after playing in the river or exploring the nearby forests. Our kiddos spent multiple days just down at the swimming holes on the river. There was a quite popular one under the bridge that has a rope swing and cliff jumping from the rocks, and it is totally walkable from the house. The beachfront part of the property is super cool and very well-equipped with all the supplies you need for a fun day in the sun—beach chairs, paddle games, a beach tent for shade, corn hole, a hammock, fire pit and picnic tables, kayaks, and even snorkeling gear! The house itself is clean and updated. Every bed was super comfortable and there was even a nice selection of pillows—down, foam, cotton, even a Purple Pillow—which is not normal for most rentals. We were quite impressed; almost like a pillow menu at a fancy hotel. And the location! All the best parts of the Avenue of the Giants are so close! Miranda is a cute tiny town less than a mile up the road. Sips is a little roadside coffee shop that we went to daily, and there is a little market for anything you may have forgotten. We cannot wait to come back!
