Great location in terms of access to Gatlinburg. The drive up/down the mountain can be precarious if you don't have experience, other cars are present, weather, or wildlife being in the road. Many straight hill climbs and blind corners. Cabin worked for what we needed. Does need to be cleaned better - cobwebs, dirty/chipped dishes, dryer lint trap was FULL, towels have bleach spots, shower liner was moldy, eucalyptus in shower smelled like it was rotting. Couldn't turn off the light in the second bedroom without turning the fan off as well. Exterior lights didn't always work and light above kitchen sink did not work at all. We had a rainstorm come in that knocked out the Wi-Fi the last night we were there so if you need that be prepared. We were not impressed with the beds - make all kinds of noise & very hard. Paint peeling/missing in several spots. Great location for seeing wildlife!!! We saw several bears. Had zero interaction with host other than the automated messages with check in and check out instructions.
