The Space:
Located just steps from iconic Forsyth Park, this wonderfully restored two-story Carriage House is a showcase of Savannah’s enduring beauty—where century-old craftsmanship meets warm, modern design. Privately nestled along the alley off Gaston Street, the discreet entrance on Gordon Lane offers an intimate glimpse of “hidden Savannah,” a quiet residential pocket still surrounded by the best of downtown.
Inside, a dedicated mudroom sets the tone with functional charm and space for umbrellas, jackets, and bikes. From there, the home opens onto a living space rich with character—German-schmear brickwork, original wood floors worn to a perfect patina, and exposed beams that tell the story of the home’s past. Soft lighting, curated décor, and a 55" TV create a welcoming blend of cozy and refined.
The kitchen is a thoughtful balance of old and new, where butcher-block countertops, marble tile backsplash, and modern appliances feel seamlessly integrated into the carriage house’s historic bones. Morning light pours into the quaint two-seat breakfast nook, offering an ideal start to your day in Savannah.
Ascend the wrought-iron staircase railing, a striking architectural detail, to the second-floor retreat. The primary bedroom features a Loom & Leaf queen mattress, a restored fireplace with its original mantle, and sophisticated, calming finishes that elevate the entire space. A generous walk-in closet provides room for extended stays.
The secondary bedroom includes a comfortable twin bed, making it perfect for a third guest, while the full-size washer and dryer are discreetly tucked away for convenience. The updated bathroom offers ample room for getting ready before venturing out to explore the city.
Guest Access:
There is a shared breezeway through the property so that the owners can get to the trash, occasionally they may walk through there. They have no access to your actual unit but occasionally you may see them walking through to the lane. They are friendly :)

The Neighborhood:
This carriage house sits in one of Savannah’s most walkable and historic neighborhoods, just steps from Forsyth Park. The home is tucked down a quiet alley off Gaston Street, giving you a sense of privacy while still being right in the middle of downtown. The area is residential, peaceful, and lined with live oaks and historic homes, yet everything you want to explore is only minutes away.
For breakfast, The Collins Quarter at Forsyth is a quick two- to three-minute walk and is known for great coffee and brunch. Betty Bombers is also close by and offers a fun, casual diner-style breakfast or lunch. For lunch or a relaxed afternoon meal, Local 11 Ten sits just one block south of the park and serves modern dishes in a beautifully restored building.
Dinner options are easy to reach on foot as well. Repeal 33 is within walking distance and offers creative cocktails and elevated Southern comfort food. Vic’s On The River, about a 10- to 12-minute walk away on the riverfront, is a favorite for seafood and special nights out.

Forsyth Park is at your door, and a short stroll through the historic squares will take you to museums, galleries, River Street, and many of the city’s most photographed streets and landmarks. It’s an ideal location for guests who want a quiet stay while still being close to Savannah’s best dining, sightseeing, and historic charm.
