Despite less than ideal weather, we had a wonderful getaway on the houseboat. Maggie went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We enjoyed the convenience and great food at Tom Sawyer’s too. We would highly recommend renting from Maggie and the unique experience of staying in a houseboat!

Maggie was a wonderful host—very friendly, helpful and accommodating. She helped us with the kayaks and even let us swim off the back of her boat, which we really appreciated. The houseboat is older and cozy, and its location within the marina was a little different than we had pictured from the listing. We also had some difficulty with the Wi-Fi and keeping the boat cool on the warmer day, and the arrival instructions were a little confusing at first. Overall, though, we enjoyed our weekend and Maggie couldn’t have been nicer. A little more detail in the listing and check-in instructions would be helpful for future guests.

Us city folk had such a fun experience staying on a houseboat!! The Charlie Lynn was fun for the whole family. Maggie was very helpful and communicative and the houseboat community was very friendly. Having Tom Sawyers' right at the end of the dock and easy access to all the fun in La Crosse added to a very memorable getaway for all of us.
