About this property
Walk-to-lake family home, porch and fire table
Summary:
For families who want a lake weekend without the driving: a 3-bedroom Williams Bay house an 11-minute walk from the beach and boat launch, with the Shore Path and lakefront dinner spots close by. Come back to a fire table on the deck, string lights on the covered porch and beds for 8, bunks included. Dogs welcome with approval. Kayak, 2 bikes, washer and dryer included. Downtown Lake Geneva is 10 to 15 minutes by car. On the village main road, so expect some traffic noise. Book your fall dates.
The Space:
A two-story Williams Bay house with a full-width covered front porch, an 11-minute walk (or 2-minute drive) from Williams Bay Beach and the public boat launch. It suits families and two-family trips who want to park once and walk to the lake, dinner and coffee.
What you get
• Sleeps 8 in 3 bedrooms: a king room, a full-bed room, and a family room with a queen plus twin-over-twin bunks
• 2 full bathrooms, both with walk-in showers (one on the main level, one upstairs)
• Open main floor: sectional sofa and smart TV, a second sitting area with four armchairs around a decorative mantel (not a working fireplace), and a dining table. Guests say there are "2 big tables for board games"
• Kitchen with a Viking range, counter-height table, wine fridge nearby, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, kettle and toaster
• Covered front porch with string lights, a porch swing and a bench
• Back deck with a grill, wicker seating and a fire table
• Yard for the kids and the dog; dogs are welcome with prior approval
• Kayak with transport caddy and 2 bikes in the garage
• Washer and dryer, handy after wet days at the lake
• Desk with a monitor by the back entry, fast Wi-Fi
• Pack 'n Play and board games
• Driveway parking with room for a boat and trailer
Fall and winter from here
• Walk the Geneva Lake Shore Path from Williams Bay
• Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy, about 5 minutes by car, for boardwalk hikes and fall color
• Yerkes Observatory, about a 1-mile walk
• Grand Geneva (golf, spa, skiing) about 15 minutes by car; Alpine Valley about 25 to 30 minutes
• Dinner a short walk or quick drive away: Pier 290, Cafe Calamari, Harpoon Willie's
Good to know before you book
• The house is on the main road through the village. That is why everything is walkable, and it also means you will hear traffic, most on weekend evenings. Light sleepers may prefer a back-street home.
• The stairs to the second floor are steep with low headroom. Tall guests need to duck, and they may not suit anyone unsteady on stairs.
• A Ring doorbell camera is at the door, and an interior noise monitor measures decibel level only (no audio recorded).
Guest Access:
You have the whole house, front porch, back deck, yard and driveway to yourselves. Self check-in with a smart lock. Park in the driveway, with room for a boat and trailer; street parking is also available. The second floor is reached by a steep staircase with low headroom. The kayak, its caddy and 2 bikes in the garage are yours to use.
The Neighborhood:
Williams Bay Beach and the public boat launch are an 11-minute walk or 2-minute drive. Guests describe the slower pace of Williams Bay compared with busy Lake Geneva: a quick walk to the lake, library, coffee shop and restaurants, from a house on the village main road. Our fall picks: the boardwalk at Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy (about 5 minutes by car), Yerkes Observatory (about a 1-mile walk), and dinner at Pier 290 or Harpoon Willie's, a short walk or quick drive. Downtown Lake Geneva is 10 to 15 minutes by car. Frosty Moose across the street is a seasonal ice cream shop, so check its hours outside summer.
Getting Around:
You can leave the car in the driveway for the beach, lakefront and village restaurants, and two bikes are in the garage. A car is useful for downtown Lake Geneva (10 to 15 minutes), Grand Geneva (about 15 minutes) and Alpine Valley (25 to 30 minutes). Milwaukee's General Mitchell airport (MKE) is about a 48-minute drive. Ride-sharing is available locally.
Other Things to Note:
• On the village main road: expect traffic noise, most on weekend evenings.
• Steep stairs to the second floor with low headroom; tall guests should duck.
• One exterior camera: a Ring doorbell camera at the door. Inside there is a noise monitor only (decibel level, no audio recorded).
• The fireplace mantel in the sitting area is decorative and cannot be used. The fire table on the back deck is yours to use.
• Check-in 4:00 PM, check-out 10:00 AM.
• After booking we send an electronic rental agreement to sign before check-in details go out.
• Dogs welcome with prior approval; tell us about your pet before booking.
• No smoking inside.

Thank you, Jodi! We're thrilled you enjoyed our beautiful property and found the location perfect. Your kind words about our responsiveness mean a lot to us. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another stay!
Nice house in a convenient location if you want to be in Williams Bay. Fenced yard is great if you have dogs. Front porch is large and nice for sitting.
Porch was nice and house was walking distance to restaurants. Road in front was busy and a little loud. House was spacious and kitchen really nice. The living room smelled like dog (which we have but it said no dogs so we left ours at home). Grill worked good and was clean. Back deck furniture was not very nice.
