Get ready to enjoy lake-level water frontage on Lake Freeman! Wake up to the serene lake views and end each joyous day with breathtaking sunsets! Snuggle into this 2-bedroom cottage that comfortably sleeps 7+ with a queen bed in the master, two sets of bunk beds that are twin-over-full plus a pull-out twin in the second bedroom, and a full size sofa bed in the living room. Nestled in a golf cart community that is only 2 miles from the Madame Carroll, 8.4 miles from Indiana Beach and 27 miles from Purdue University. Whether you are seeking a lakeside adventures, relaxing escape, or some combination this cottage is yours to enjoy!
Pulling up to the home, you’ll find 3 parking spots with a view of the lake. After walking down the stairs, you’ll be welcomed into a deck space perfect for relaxing or grilling. while taking in the view. There is lots of space for entertaining with pub seating, table and chairs, and lounging area!! Beyond the deck, the shaded yard provides green space for the kiddos to play frisbee swing or for all to gather around the fire pit and roast marshmallows. Heading to the dock you’ll find 2 piers with two boat slips inviting you to take a few steps down and get right in the water.
Heading back into the house, you’ll find 2 bedrooms-one of which is large enough for a queen size bed and the other houses two sets of bunk beds and a pull-out mattress. After walking through the entryway and past the bedrooms, you’ll find one of the main benefits of this cottage via a great room with a wall of windows to view the lake. As you settle in to relax in front of the electric fireplace, a 65-inch SMART TV with sound bar has been provided to enjoy movies or play in the background while you have a game night.
Popcorn is available in the white cabinet kitchen with all the modern appliances you would expect and enough space to prep for the cookout on the Blackstone grill. If you choose to eat inside, there’s seating in the dining space that has a large table with built-in booth seating.
Last but not least, there’s a full bathroom with a granite topped vanity and a shower/tub combo for the little ones, and you can go home with no laundry via the all-in-one washer dryer combo.

My brother and I wanted a place for our families to meet up and create memories together that felt like a getaway from daily life. Lake life drew us in. Since we will only come together a few times a year, we decided sharing the opportunity to create memories with others would be fulfilling. Therefore, we created Hummingbird Haven, LLC to partner up and purchase this home for us and to share with others through short term rental. The name of the company is to honor our Mom's memory. She passed October 19, 2007 and had an affinity for hummingbirds. To celebrate her, we have careful placed a few hummingbird decorations around the property. We truly hope you will enjoy your time and make lasting memories!
Why they chose this property
This quaint golf cart community along the shoreline provides lake access and views without the challenge of steep inclines and dangerous steps. With the neighbors also using the properties nearby as vacation homes, only visiting on occasion, it is often a private setting. It is close to Indiana Beach, Wineries, and other Monticello attractions. Also, it is a short drive to Purdue University when visiting the campus.
