Overall, our experience and stay at this home was okay, but there were several issues that impacted our visit.The first thing that stood out was how difficult it was to park in both the driveway and on the street. The driveway is so steeply angled that it scraped the underside of our vehicles multiple times. We also had to carefully coordinate who parked in the driveway and garage because getting vehicles in and out was such a hassle.The second issue was the odor both outside and inside the home. There was a noticeable septic/sewage smell, especially in the basement bedroom and kitchen. We ended up purchasing several air fresheners to make the smell more bearable. I messaged the host about it twice, but my questions regarding the odor were never directly addressed.Initially, the host instructed us not to flush anything other than toilet paper. Later, we were told not to flush anything at all, including toilet paper. As a result, we had to dispose of used toilet paper in trash cans, which only made the odor situation worse. It was also apparent in several areas that the property has had, and may still have, significant plumbing issues.The kitchen was lacking some basic essentials, including oven mitts, adequate seating, and certain standard appliances and kitchenware. The dishwasher was also ineffective and did not properly clean dishes.There were several flickering light bulbs in the second-floor hallway, and the upstairs air conditioning struggled to keep the area
