Welcome to Island in the Hills, to our stunning 5 bedroom contemporary home + optional private suite in heart of San Diego, CA. Perfect for families or groups seeking a spacious and relaxing retreat.
This modern gem features modern elements and ample space for relaxation and entertainment.
Featuring a large inground heated pool, full kitchen+coffee station. Full-sized washer & dryer, outdoor grill for BBQing, Gazebo, entertainment games and a private backyard to enjoy your morning coffee.
The space
You will experience a fresh atmosphere infused with a unique modern feel. Home boasts oversized windows, sliding glass doors and numerous skylights which welcome the gentle San Diego atmosphere into this unique space.
The optional attached suite offers a more private atmosphere with features such as king sized bed, pull out couch, custom walk-in shower, full kitchen, laundry facilities and a side patio with outdoor furniture for lounging.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home as well as the private back yard, pool, gazebo and more.
While parties are not permitted, birthday parties can celebrated at the park directly across the street which features multiple picnic tables, BBQ grills, playground and lush green lawns. Please send me a message and ask regarding seasonal discounts
Other things to note
Optional Private suite can accommodate up to 4 additional house guests. Groups of 14 or more guests will get automatic access to the private suite.
Groups of 13 guests or less may still use the private suite at an additional fee (please contact for pricing).
Backyard includes pool activities such as group pool basketball set. Other games such as corn hole, ring toss hook game and others games are available for your enjoyment. A combination floodlight and camera is located at the front of the home for added safety.
Pool is connected to solar heating which is free at all times. In cooler weather, gas heating for pool/ spa is also available at an additional fee (please contact for rates).

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Thank you for staying with us! Just wanted to share some information regarding check out (checkout by 11am).!
Please put all used sheets (without the comforters) and towels in a single pile on the floor downstairs.
Check to make sure you didn’t leave any personal items behind. If any keys were provided remember to place them back on the hook in the diningroom. Please remember to lock all doors before leaving.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No Parties, or events allowed. Neighbors will complain of excessive noise. Any additional guest after 5 guests will be charged $50/night per guest.
Quiet hours begin strictly at 9pm. Absolutely No loud speakers or like kind device allowed.
No smoking/vaping allowed anywhere on the property. We have guests who are sensitive or allergic to smoke. $1,000 Fine imposed for smoking.

The pool and outdoor area was very nice. We used pool during day and gazebo and fire pit at night. Host was very accommodating when a few things came up during stay and answering questions prior to arrival.

We had a lovely stay at the home! Very centrally located in North San Diego, central to many attractions such as downtown and La Jolla Cove house. The house was very well kept and made for a comfortable stay with our families as our kids played in the swimming pool and we enjoyed a home-cooked dinner every night with a full fully stocked kitchen. Communication was great throughout our stay, and his wife even came by the first night with a basket of extra towels for us! We would happily come back again if we could!

Sand diego stay

We really liked the place it was super clean and well maintained. The owner kept In Great communication with us and made sure we ere comfortable. A bonus was the park across the street and near by hiking trails. Also this place was centrally located to just about everything. would recommend staying here again.

Spectacular house, and great for family!

My husband, infant and I rented this house with our family from the Bay Area who have a 5 and 8 year old. The house is well equipped for children of all ages (and adults!), with all the baby gear we could need. The park across the street was the cherry on top. Very responsive and easy to communicate with, highly recommend staying here!

Jacob and company had booked through us when while completing for the PGA tour. There were clean, respectful and just nice people overall. Being new hosts with a brand new renovated home, we were nervous about renting out to a large group of younger kids but are minds were immediately set at ease upon meeting Jacob and his friends. Beautiful house, amazing stay

When I say this house is gorgeous, I mean it! This is easily one of the best stays we've had in San Diego. The house was immaculate and upscale, with lots of small touches to make our stay comfortable. The location is quiet, safe, and family friendly, and our little girls loved the park literally across the street (where they met some little friends as well). The pool is beautiful. We were able to get downtown and to the major sites in just a few minutes. And check in was really easy. This stay made our trip to visit family in the area pretty much perfect. We'll be back!

Multigenerational Celebration

We came in for a multigenerational stay to celebrate our graduate (UCSD). The house was the PERFECT place for all of us to gather in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The highlights were most certainly the host and his amazing communication and the comfort of the beds! After a long day it was so welcome. Our elderly parents were able to enjoy time with their teen/young adult grandchildren. The pool was the icing on the cake. We are so grateful for the time and space.

Perfect Family Property

Our family members were in town for our mom/grandmother's 90th birthday party. She lives in the same neighborhood, so, not only was this place perfectly situated/close by, it accommodated our 7 family members excellently and comfortably. The communication with Joe was outstanding and, if the weather had cooperated, we would have loved using the pool. We did relax there - bundled up! - one afternoon and it was so pleasant. Highly recommend! We will stay here again whenever our family gathers for another celebration!

Tierrasanta house

We had so much fun staying at this house! We didn’t realize when we booked that the house was right across the street from a beautiful park, which most of our kids said was their favorite part out of all the other things we did in San Diego! The home was recently renovated and the kitchen and master bath were our favorite parts! Beautifully done! Plenty of space for a big family like ours.. The owners were super responsive and made sure we had all the kitchen things we needed to cook with, even late at night! 😅 Some things that would make it even better (mostly for long term stays) is to have a small vacuum in the house to keep floors clean during the stay. We swept every morning with lots of kids coming in and out but a vacuum would be even better! Also-the washer and dryer are in the garage and it may be nice to have a rug underneath of them so that if any clean clothes drop when switching, they don’t get dirty.. Thanks for letting us stay at your lovely home!
