Fantastic location for our beach adventures and a quiet and restful home base. We loved the river and enjoyed much time on the deck in the morning and evening. Thomas communicated with us well and was very responsive. Would stay here again!
Host was easy to contact and responds quickly. We had a great time, golfed one day at Chestnut Hills before we were driven inside by the wildfire smoke. The Bungalow was very comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed the indoor dining at Iron Fish Distillery!

Thanks again Aaron!
This Bungalow has all the amenities you could need for a nice night out by a fire, a kayak ride down the river, a grilled steak, and a relaxing night in watching movies and playing games. Home is clean and well maintained. Communication with the host was seamless. Tom answered any questions I had and made sure we knew all the local places to check out. Would definitely be staying again.
The cabin was perfect! Beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. Everything was there for the family to enjoy a wonderful winter wonderland in Michigan's north country!!

We enjoyed the privacy of the location and it was a short drive to Crystal Mountain. The house was perfect for our two families. The fully equipped kitchen was helpful for the cooking we did. It is a cozy place and we look forward to staying here again!

The Betsie River Bungalow was perfect for our ski getaway this winter. The home was very comfortable, clean, and in a gorgeous location. Providing snowshoes was a fun extra that we enjoyed, trekking out into the woods. The owner is very responsive and it is obvious the guests’ needs are thoughtfully taken care of in advance. Our family definitely recommends this gem!
We loved the Betsie River Bungalow! Our family of four had more than enough room for the long weekend and the house was well appointed and well stocked. We really enjoyed the nice touches like the riverside fire pit and Adirondack chairs. We didn’t end up using the kayaks at the house because we opted for a longer excursion on the Platte River instead, but we did spend a lot of time in and around the river at the property. We fished and explored the riverbanks. We even saw a river otter! It’s very private and quiet at the river. So peaceful! We had a good dinner at the very nearby Iron Fish Distillery (literally walking distance). We also golfed at Crystal Mountain Resort, just a few minutes drive away, and had an excellent dinner at their Scottish grille called The Thistle. Tom was a fantastic host and the communication was great. He really went above and beyond for us. We would love to stay again in the future. It’s truly a gem of a property. Thanks for having us, Tom and Jen!
We’re from Oklahoma and rented the Bestsie River Bungalow with family friends, and it comfortably fit two families of 4. The house was the perfect getaway, and it was centrally located around all the things we wanted to do in Michigan. The house was well stocked (with very nice pots and pans), and the host had household items many places don’t(wine opener, chip bag clips, peeler, pizza cutter)! They even had s’more’s sticks which was a huge hit with the kids. They have two fire pits, which I thought was nice, for people who may not be able to make the walk down to the river. The one by the house is close to the neighbors, so we used the one by the water. The host was great at communication, and even gave his cell phone number if any problems were to come up. We had a small hiccup with the AC and the fixed it the same day, which was impressive and appreciated. If you’re looking for a family friendly home, this place is it. We went to Crystal Lake, Sleeping Bear Dunes, kayaked the Platte River, Mackinac Island, and even ventured to Torch Lake. Thank you for opening up your home to us.
