About this property

Denali Park View House, 4-Bedroom

About this space
4 Bedroom, 3 Bath 2300 Sq Ft. Sleeps 12. Great Views & Wildlife At Your Door.
The space
Located on the Park Boundary our house has spectacular mountain views and our yard is teeming with wildlife. The Park entrance road is just 10 miles away. You'll feel like your living in the wild yet you can enjoy all the modern amenities of home.
The living room, dining area and kitchen have amazing views. It's an open floor plan. All the bedrooms are down the hall towards the back. It's an awesome set up because people in the living area do not disturb people resting in the bedrooms. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs that share a full bathroom and 2 downstairs that share a full bathroom. There is another full bathroom in the living area. The garage door is always locked to avoid any mosquito accidents. The garage is spacious and has a washer, dryer and ping pong table.
We are the last house in our subdivision so the yard feels like a million acres. There are 2 separate rental units on our property. The houses are nestled in the woods so it feels like you are super remote but there are neighbors close by even though you can't see them.
I will email you detailed driving directions and the key code for entry 30 days prior to your arrival.
You must have a rental car to stay at our property. There is plenty of parking and we are 1/4 mile off the only highway. We are very easy to locate.
We are located 4.5 hours north of Anchorage and 2 hours South of Fairbanks.
My wife and I live in the area and are close by. If you have questions feel free to text or phone I'm more than happy to answer any questions or offer advice. I respect your privacy and independence so if I do not hear from you I will assume all is well.
We are in a ting subdivision called Otto Lake. We are within 1 mile of the only highway. The house is right on the park boundary and the views are spectacular. We see lots of wildlife in our neighborhood and the hiking is fantastic. You can also rent an ATV and ride for miles.
You must have a rental car. Our driveway is maintained gravel and does not violate your rental car agreement. There is plenty of parking next to your unit. There is 1 highway between Anchorage and Fairbanks which makes navigation very easy. Follow the mile markers.
The Park entrance road is 10 miles away. I recommend you book your park bus tour prior to arrival
I recommend taking the bus to Eileson Visitor Center. There is only 1 road so the least expensive bus takes the same exact route as the most expensive bus. You can book all other activities upon arrival depending on weather and your groups desires. All activity brochures are located in the entry way to the house and most are nearby and/or can arrange pick up at the house.
You can drink our water.
Wehave recycling.
We provide all linens, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, trash bags, paper towels and toilet paper.
The Coffee Maker does not need filters and we provide drip coffee & powdered cream and sugar.
From time to time people leave condiments, powder creamer and such but please do not expect anything in the way of food items to be provided. Please bring everything you will need.
You must bring your own firewood. We provide propane for the BBQ
You can walk to Otto Lake to have a picnic or Denali Outdoor Center will rent you a boat or take you whitewater rafting. Across from Otto Lake is Black Diamond Golf Course which offers midnight tee times and has a great restaurant. Denali ATV is also within walking distance.
Enter the key code we will email you 30 days prior to your arrival and the unit is yours. Everything is on and functioning.

September 2023 Stay
Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in good, but outdated condition. The furniture and beds as well as sheets and pillows are well worn and some uncomfortable. There is only one TV in the front room, that only has a limited number of cable stations - no streaming. The advertising picture of a wild animal outside is dated as wildlife are few in the area so it is unlikely to see them. The hot water is limited as well and you must wait about 15 minutes after someone took a shower to have hot water for the next shower - inconvenience was great. The master bedroom had poor lighting placement so the shower remains dark and there are precarious awkward steps to the toilet with no light that is a major safety issue. The expensive rental left much to be desired and now has less expensive and more modern and new -stay else.

Amazing!
It was slightly difficult getting ahold of someone when our plans changed, but very friendly and worked with me . The house was excellent and was everything I was hoping for. A lot to see within a short driving distance. Than you

Denali Stay
Beautiful property exactly as listed, the location and house are fantastic, we all really enjoyed it. If you enjoy the outdoors, you will love this place. There was a bowl placed in the utility room to deal with cold-water condensation that we emptied a couple of times, but no problems. Thank you, David for sharing the property. Steve R

Clean, comfortable, about 20 minutes to Denali Visitor Center
August 2023, 4 day stay with two families, 8 people. The house is as advertised although we did not see the moose. Clean and comfortable house with convenient lay out of bedrooms away from kitchen/living room. One bathroom off living room, second first floor bathroom is in the bedroom that has the bed and the bunk beds. The upstairs with a hallway bathroom has two bedrooms (one has a bunkbed and a bed, the other a bed for two). The attached garage converted into game room with darts, ping pong, couch, washer/dryer is great place for family fun. Plenty of silverware, dishes, pots/pans, glasses. Could use a few more bathroom towels for bigger groups. The road to house is filled with potholes so if you arrive at night drive slowly. Within short walking distance is golf course (not in good shape but was fun), ATV rentals, Lake Otto. From the house it is about 10 minute drive north to Three Bears grocer and gas station and the 49th State Restaurant, about 15 minutes south to souvenir shops and lodges, about 20 minutes south to Denali National Park. If you're not doing sea/land trip with cruise ship and you want to avoid the high price of staying in the cruise ship owned lodges then I highly recommend this rental because you can easily go visit the lodge stores and restaurants as well as the park from this location.

We have lived in Denali National Park since 1992. We are world travelers and always use VRBO. We have 4 vacation rentals at the park entrance and can assure you your experience at our properties is our highest priority. We are available to answer any questions you may have about our area. Guests rarely need to contact us with issues while at our properties but I can assure you we are close by to remedy any issues. This house is perfect for spending time with your family & friends. There is plenty of room and has all the creature comforts you want in a vacation rental.

Why they chose this property

This property is so awesome because it's the last house on the end of the road so your backyard goes on forever. The views of the mountains are some of the best in Alaska and we really see an amazing amount of wildlife, yet we have direct TV, WiFi & are 1 mile from the highway. We truly feel like we're in the Denali Wild living in this fantastic house.

What makes this property unique

You come to Alaska for the experience. Why stay in Glitter Gultch (The Park Entrance Area) with the masses? Our home is only 10-miles North of Denali National Parks entrance road. Come enjoy your friends and family in a private setting with all the activities close by and the wildlife and views right at the door of your Denali House.

I'm happy to answer your questions or offer advice.
