Host tried to claim deck railing required replacement after our stay. My fyi to anyone booking is DO pay for that insurance because they will try to lie/scam you. There was no damage to any part of the property from our stay.

This renter violated several house rules. First, she grilled on the brand new deck railing (illegal in our town and explicitly spelled out as a house rule). We have pictures of the grease stains to prove it (my guess would be hamburgers). The weight of the grill cracked the railing shelf in half. In addition to that, she left open liquor bottles and open bags of food all over the apartment. She didn’t even try to clean anything before she left. She didn’t take out the trash at the end of her stay. She also somehow stained our new dining room rug with some kind of wax that we can’t remove. On top of all that, my neighbors reported to me that she verbally fought with a man at the beginning of her stay (and the next morning) to the extent that people were objectively worried. This is clearly not a renter that is welcome back to our place, nor should be considered elsewhere by hosts. Yes, I am putting in a damage claim…because my brand new item is now ruined. Beware of this renter please.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Tim and Jackie's lovely rental. Their care for their property was beautifully modeled with new appliances, and a love of the Jersey shore's past and contemporary present with comfy new furniture, bed , and lovely upgraded touches in Jackie's creative decorating. We really enjoyed having morning coffee on their small but private outdoor deck and reading in their sunroom in late afternoon. We also loved their proximity to Barefoot Cafe for our favorite scones, and breakfast at Brown's on the Boardwalk with our family and young grandchildren who were thrilled to be granted "Ambassador" status because of their local residency and frequent attendance! For us their home was a great place to stay and we highly recommend it :-)) !
