We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, well-kept, spacious Edgartown home. The location is perfect, the neighbors are so friendly and it had everything we needed. Great vacation!
The location was great!! The historic designation was impressive and the space was great.
When we arrived, many rooms did not have light. The owner did respond and came over the next day. The issue was a breaker switch which was fixed.
There were many antiques in the home, there was one room we did not use at all because it seemed to be museum like. The house would be ideal for an older couple not for young children ( which we didn't have).
The non formal entertainment room was open and quite spacious. However, the floor was slanting as the house appears to be sinking and it creaked when walking on that side. I was nervous about the house collapsing.
There were two TVs in the entire house and there were only streaming programs. The great room mentioned before should have an actual live TV.
Also there was no garbage collection so we had loads of bags of garbage by the time we left the property.
Other than that it was a charming property and the historic nature of the house was quite evident. The location was very close to the Edgartown waterfront which was a plus.
This family trip was planned to gather together to share family historical places in Edgartown. This lovely home is beautifully decorated and easily accommodated our family for the long weekend. It had a well equipped kitchen for preparing food, and community space to visit. Our host was able to accommodate early check in upon our arrival. Our children were grateful to experience staying in a preserved historical Martha’s Vineyard home while pouring through books/art that their grandmother who was raised in Edgartown talked about to them. We walked to beach/Edgartown Lightouse, and dining/shopping. We would highly recommend this property.
The house was exactly as described and in the heart of Edgartown. We travel with some older relatives and it was nice being so close to town that they could easily walk when ever they wanted to.
We had a wonderful week in Edgartown at this comfortable and excellently located property. The owner is responsive and was very helpful as we dealt with some travel difficulties due to tropical storm Henri. We can’t wait to return!
The house was very clean, well equipped with comfortable bedrooms and living space. A quick and easy walk to the center of Edgartown makes it a perfect vacation spot

Beautiful house in fantastic location!
Stayed here with my family in June. This historic Captain's house is beautiful, and there was plenty of room for everyone. It is on a beautiful street, a very short walk to downtown Edgartown, and one block from the museum. Location was perfect. We also were able to bike to South Beach. Dealing with the owner was a pleasure - would definitely return!

Perfect house!
We rented a different house last year and we were all so disappointed because nothing was as represented in the pictures nor the description. This house was everything we were looking for and more! Even better than the pictures,a very pleasant surprise! It was clean, beautifully kept, tastefully decorated, everything worked, well stocked and spacious. It also has a very pretty back yard. We are a family of 6 including 4 teenagers. We loved the location of this house because it was a 5 minute walk to town so our kids could come and go and we could walk to for almost anything. It
is close to a 5 minute drive to South beach which allowed us to do quick drop offs and join the kids later. The house met all our criteria, WORKING AC in every room, WORKING outside shower, WORKING washer and dryer, close to town and beach and within our budget. My husband had plenty of space and privacy to work as needed but he was able to relax most of the vacation because of everything this house and its location provided. We all loved playing board or card games in the dining room! Great memories made at this house,we hope to be back next summer! The owner was great to rent from, patiently answering all my questions(had lots after last years rental) leading up to our vacation.
