About this property
Casa Caroseno by Boutique | Puglia Design Stay
Summary:
Casa Caroseno is a private, design-led villa with swimming pool in rural southern Italy, created for guests seeking privacy, simplicity, and a slower pace of life. Originally a 1950s family retreat, the home was redesigned by Opus Atelier and is set within a tranquil garden by Studio Paz, celebrating a refined farm-to-table lifestyle rooted in its surroundings.
The Space:
This villa exudes understated charm, with softly plastered walls, light filtered through arched porticos, and flowing draperies.
The home includes a king-sized bedroom and a second sleeping area thoughtfully integrated into the living space. This curtained sleeping alcove can be arranged as a double bed or two single beds, offering adaptable sleeping arrangements while preserving a sense of separation and intimacy. The living room features a sculptural modern fireplace.
The home also features two bathrooms and a fully equipped, generously sized kitchen.
Outdoors, expansive verandas open onto a private swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen, and a shaded entertaining area designed for long, relaxed meals.
Guest Access:
Guests enjoy full private access to the villa and all outdoor areas, including the swimming pool, terraces, and outdoor kitchen.
A separate dependance (annex) near the property is used solely by the owner’s family when delivering optional services or experiences at guest request. The villa and pool areas remain fully private at all times.
The Neighborhood:
Casa Caroseno is set in the countryside of southern Puglia, offering a peaceful rural setting with easy access to historic villages and coastal towns. Nearby destinations include Castellana Grotte, known for its remarkable karst cave system, Conversano with its monumental castle, and Putignano, famous for its winding historic streets.
The Adriatic coast is within easy reach, with seaside towns such as Monopoli and Polignano a Mare, making for an excellent day trip.
