Pittsburgh will always be home, I spent over 25 years here, I'm black and gold as a die hard hockey and Steelers fan. The city’s people and pride have a way of staying with you long after you leave.

These days I live in Seattle with my wife and our two little girls. We love to travel, just at a slower pace now. I started hosting because I wanted a welcoming place to stay when we return to Pittsburgh to visit family, and I wanted to offer that same home away from home feeling to others.

Why they chose this property

I chose Mount Washington because it’s near and dear to my heart. I lived here for almost 10 years and truly fell in love with the neighborhood. I used to jog along Grandview Avenue, take in the iconic skyline, and explore the mix of local restaurants, cafes, and hidden gems. It’s one of the most central spots in the city, close to everything yet full of character. To me, Mount Washington is classic Pittsburgh, great views, great food, great people, and an unbeatable vibe.

What makes this property unique

What makes this home special is the blend of history and modern comfort. It’s over 100 years old and still carries its original soul, from the character filled details to the warmth you feel when you walk in. At the same time, it’s been fully remodeled with guests in mind, so you get the charm of a classic Pittsburgh home with the comfort, style, and convenience of a modern stay. I wanted it to feel both timeless and easy, a place where you can truly relax while experiencing the city’s character.
