This property was perfect for us. The fenced in grassy backyard full of blooms was perfect for our two dogs. The cottage was beautifully, creatively decorated and oh-so-homey! Our teenage daughter and her friend absolutely loved their own apartment-like quarters upstairs, while my husband and I enjoyed the main level. We appreciated that our host welcomed our dogs, supplying blankets and towels just for them! The cottage was impeccably clean. The area was nice and we felt safe. There are a few interesting characters that live next door and we did wonder at first if we needed to worry but they were all either friendly or kept to themselves. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely book here again.

Thank you, Jennifer! I’m so glad you loved the property. I definitely want every visitor to feel comfortable and at home. This is such a quaint little street, with sweet neighbors and a Veterans with disabilities home on the corner. This is the type of neighborhood where kids play in the park out back and enjoy nature vs. being inside on tech - which is rare these days. All are indeed very friendly. The creamery across the street is expanding into a full restaurant - I just know future guests will love that too!

The rooms were bigger than the pictures showed on VRBO. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. It was in a good location to everywhere we needed to visit. We would definitely stay here again. We loved that the backyard was fenced in for our dog. If you stay here do yourself a favor and visit Twilight Bakery they have so many wonderful desserts. Thank you to the host for letting us stay at her lovely place.

It is a pleasure to offer a retreat for singles, couples, families and their pets to stay in peace and make wonderful memories. Enjoy ice cream (soon to be a restaurant) just across the street, listen for horse hooves and horse drawn carriages that may stroll down the road anytime, or have a picnic in the backyard or the park out back. This home has so many lovely options, and it’s my joy to invest in your retreat.

Why they chose this property

This is that kind of community where people may voluntarily shovel the sidewalk, the kids still play outside, the street turns into an old car show some days or a neighborhood yard sale. Amish culture is all around, including a hitching post down the road at the grocery store and Ace hardware. Regardless of the direction from the home, you will finding rolling hills, beautiful massive farms, horses and cows galore, and some of the most vibrant green summers you may have ever seen. It’s truly a peaceful happy place.

This isn’t just a rental — it’s a home that has quietly stood for nearly three centuries. Its soft pink exterior and preserved character make it truly one-of-a-kind.
