Chalupa Krásná - Traditional Mountain Cottage in Jizera Mountain
This spacious cottage is located in the heart of the Jizera Mountains, surrounded by forests and meadows, offering plenty of peace and privacy. The former glassmakers’ cottage from the early 20th century was completely renovated in 2020, preserving its original character while providing modern comfort.
Parking is available directly at the cottage (space for at least 6 cars). The cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, hot water, electric and fireplace heating. Separate toilets are located on the ground floor and the first floor.
The cottage also includes a beautiful bathroom with a shower, bathtub, and sauna, perfect for relaxation after a day spent in the mountains. Internet connection and a Smart TV are available.
This renovated former glassmakers’ cottage from the early 20th century is located in a quiet part of the Jizera Mountains, surrounded by meadows and forests. The property offers plenty of space, privacy, and comfort, making it suitable for families with children as well as groups of friends.
The total living area of the cottage is 220 m².
The property also includes a former glassmaking workshop with an area of 150 m². The surrounding garden covers 800 m² and includes a parking area with 6 parking spaces, ensuring comfort even for larger groups.
The garden offers a large children’s playground, a trampoline, a large swing suitable for adults, and a wooden heated bathing tub for up to 4 people.
The cottage has two floors and includes:
– a large living room connected to the kitchen
– three bedrooms
– a spacious bathroom
– two separate toilets and one toilet in the bathroom
– a sauna
– a long central hallway
Ground floor:
After entering the cottage, you step into a small entrance hall that helps retain heat during colder seasons. A shoe rack is available here. From there, you enter the main part of the house with a long hallway measuring nearly 10 meters. On the right side, there is a staircase leading to the upper floor, a bathroom with sauna, and a back entrance to the cottage with a separate toilet. On the left side, there are entrances to the living room and the kitchen, which are connected to each other.
Ground floor
Living room (35 m²):
The focal point of the room is a stone-clad fireplace insert. Wooden floors, a large dining table, and a Smart TV are available.
Kitchen (30 m²):
A fully equipped kitchen with a combination of wooden flooring and tiles. Equipment includes a large refrigerator with freezer, electric stove, electric oven, professional extractor hood, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, Dolce Gusto and Delonghi coffee machines, toaster, and complete kitchenware.
Bathroom (20 m²):
A modern and spacious bathroom with underfloor heating, a long wooden washbasin, a walk-in shower, a large bathtub, and a toilet.
Sauna:
Accessible from the bathroom, electrically heated.
Utility room:
Washing machine and dryer, accessible from the bathroom.
Upper floor:
From the hallway upstairs, there is access to three bedrooms and a separate toilet.
Bedroom 1 (20 m²):
Two single beds (90 × 200 cm), one double bed (180 × 200 cm), and a foldable children’s cot.
Bedroom 2 (20 m²):
One single bed (90 × 200 cm), one large bed (240 × 240 cm), TV 32".
Bedroom 3 (25 m², accessed through Bedroom 2):
One single bed (90 × 200 cm), one bed (125 × 200 cm), and one double bed (200 × 200 cm).Bedroom 2 and 3 are connected.
Former glassmaking workshop:
The upper part is currently used for storing firewood and tools. The lower part serves as a common room (15 m²) with a fireplace, smokehouse, and dining seating.
Heating:
The fireplace insert in the living room is connected to radiators throughout the entire cottage. Alternatively, heating can be provided by an electric boiler. This system ensures excellent heating even during cold winter months.
Water:
Hot water is provided by an electric boiler with a 160-liter storage tank.
Internet:
Unlimited data, speed up to 50 Mbps (may drop to around 10 Mbps during peak times).
TV:
40" TV in the living room, 32" TV in the upstairs bedroom.
Garden and surroundings:
A grassy plot of 800 m² with a fire pit, outdoor seating, and a grill. The property is not fenced. A forest is located across the road, which is not heavily trafficked.
Wooden heated bathing tub:
A wooden tub heated by firewood, usable all year round. Water temperature can reach up to more than 41°C. Diameter 180 cm, suitable for up to 4 adults.
Children’s playground:
Built in August 2023, size 20 × 15 m. Includes climbing structures, a playhouse, sandpit, three swings (for toddlers to adults), a three-level tower with views, and a 3 m long slide. Use at own risk.
Activities and surroundings:
Hiking, cycling, mushroom picking, berry picking, swimming, water sports on the Jizera River, skiing, and cross-country skiing. Nearby ski resorts include Zásada, Špičák, Ještěd, Harrachov, and Rokytnice.
Nearby attractions include Kittel’s House, Pěnčín Farm, lookout towers, castles, chateaux, restaurants, and the towns of Jablonec nad Nisou, Liberec, Turnov, and the Český ráj region.
