We had a wonderful stay at on Camano Island. The location was breathtakingly beautiful, and the hosts made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The home was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. This was a lovely home in a beautiful location, with amazing wildlife! We saw great blue herons, terns and ospreys diving for fish, sandpipers, swallows, and even a great horned owl one night after sunset. We even got surprised when a coyote came thru the driftwood one night when we were stargazing in the yard. And the night sky was amazing, with the Milky Way clearly visible! I’d just recommend anyone sleeping in the king bed bring a sleeping mask, as the primary bedroom is the only one without blackout shades.

We’re glad to hear that nature and the night sky put on such a great show. It can get pretty exciting for such a peaceful place. Thank you for sharing your photos! We also appreciate the feedback about the window shades. Bulk sleeping masks have been ordered and will be provided to future guests until we can get a more permanent solution. Thanks for staying we hope you visit again soon!

We enjoyed our 4 nights at this home. The view from the deck and almost every room of the house was beautiful, even when the tide was out. The home was exceptionally clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Check in and check out was easy, and Marie responded very quickly to our texts. The house was in a quiet neighborhood and was in close proximity to restaurants and stores. It was interesting to drive around the whole island and visit Camano Island State Park and Cama Beach State Park. Even in late July, nothing was crowded. Thank you Tom and Marie, for sharing your peaceful home with us!

Watching the tide come and go was wonderful amazing to see Mt. Rainier. A real treat to be right on the beach. Thanks Tom for the easy check-in and departure. We’ll be back for sure

This Vrbo looked exactly like the pictures. The last one we stayed at did not, so we were a bit apprehensive. The views were stunning. We really enjoyed the tidal aspect of the bay, the vastness of the view, the wildlife, and the QUIET. The house was arranged really well for our two couples and a single person. There was room for us all to spread out and enjoy solitude in the morning, with easy flow from inside to outside. The kitchen was big enough to have 3 cooks in it at once and the big dining table was perfect for sit down dinners and games in the evening. There is no 'beach' to walk on here. There's so much drift wood close in and when the tide goes out it is mostly mudflat. But once we accustomed ourselves to that we so enjoyed the changing tides we didn't care. The nearby IGA on the island and the beautiful Hagens in Stanwood were both added bonuses. We really enjoyed a visit to the state park on the other side of the island. We would unreservedly recommend this house.

So glad you had a great stay, David. :) Turns out the brand new HVAC system we installed had a faulty thermostat. It stopped telling the main control that the temperature has been reached! That’s been replaced and the system is working perfectly now for your next visit. :)

My family and I really enjoyed our April stay here. Tom is an excellent host who was very responsive to questions and thorough with details for our stay. The house is charming, on a quiet street, with a beautiful view of the Livingston Bay and has easy access to town. The house was super clean and perfect for our four adults. Tom supplied a detailed guide for us on our arrival which was very useful. It was quiet and peaceful and so pleasant to sit out on the deck and enjoy the scenery. When the nights got cool it was nice to have the fireplace - though we had a small hiccup with the fireplace remote batteries - easily sorted out :). We were fortunate that Mt. Rainier was visible during our stay. We found the beds comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. We used this location as a starting point to visit the Tulip festival and it worked out so well. Camano Island has nice grocery stores and friendly people. We'd book this again without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway.

Beautiful setting and stunning views. After a long drive, it was nice to walk in to a very clean house. The house was very well stocked with anything you might need for daily living. It was a great place for me for an extended stay. The mattress in the master bedroom was very comfortable and I rested well. Tom and Marie were very quick to respond if I had any questions or concerns and were very accommodating with any of my requests. Great hosts. Good communicators. Hope to be able to stay there again.

We are Pacific Northwest natives who love the natural beauty of Camano Island and the surrounding area. We love to travel, especially abroad, and have had wonderful experiences in other short-term rentals around the world. We hope to share that kind of experience for people visiting our corner of the planet.

Why they chose this property

Camano Island has been a special place in our family for multiple generations. Originally from Seattle, Camano is the perfect location: a one-hour drive from the city, no ferry line to deal with, and yet you still feel like you're away from the hustle and bustle. Livingston Bay Shore Drive, in particular, with its southern view of Mt. Rainier and all-day sun (when we're lucky enough to have sun) just can't be beat.

What makes this property unique

The expansive view of Livingston Bay with Mt. Rainier in the distance, with eagles, herons, ospreys, and the occasional seal living their lives on display makes this a magical place. Not to mention the water is warm in the summer due to the slowly moving tide. Winters are fun too with storms that blow in, with driftwood constantly changing the shoreline. The comfy spaces indoors, the natural views outdoors make this a great place to chill, cook, talk and branch off on great outdoor adventures all around.
