About this property
Turtle Cove Escape, a Gulf Front Pool home, 110' Dock and Fabulous Views!
On your arrival you will think you stepped back in time, before the "Keys" were discovered by today's world, and only a few knew what treasure awaited. Beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico and an everchanging sky to name just a few. From stunning blues to an array of white clouds to the sunset color each day will be captivating without leaving your back yard!
The home is charming in Old Keys style but with today's conveniences. Ground level for ease of access, a lovely pool just steps from the back patios and then the lawn that slopes down to the cove and the 110' long dock reaching out into the Gulf. For the boater there are dolphin pilings to help secure your boat and the 33rd Street boat ramp is on the same shore, just a short distance from the house. For kayakers there are complimentary kayaks on site with paddles and life jackets.
There is a spacious living area at the entry with the kitchen and dining on the south side and 2 guest bedrooms on the Gulfside side and the master on the east side. The L shaped couch and comfortable easy chairs are conducive to family gathering after a great day of exploring and to make plans for the next adventure or, simply enjoy watching entertainment on the large screen TV. There is highspeed Wi-Fi for streaming or, should anyone need to stay in touch with work (there is a desk to use for convenience if you do!).
The galley style kitchen is updated with a gas range and cooktop, built in microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer. Just steps away is the dining table that looks out at the views of the open water and a patio just through the double French doors for outdoor dining.
Of the three bedrooms, two have views of the water through double French doors that open to the back yard, Each bedroom has a queen size bed and a twin tucked in to offer additional sleeping flexibility for a child or single members in the group. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and attached bathroom with a soaking tub/shower and a door opening directly to the back yard with a small table and chairs. There is a second bath off the living area with a shower for the other parties to use.
The home is cooled and heated by individual Mini-split air conditioning/heater units, one in each bedroom and all living areas.
There is a boat house room on the dock for convenient storage of your gear. It also has some supplies and life jackets for the complimentary kayaks.
If you do leave to explore, the Old Seven Mile Bridge is a short drive from the home and offers a great walk out and back to Pigeon Key as well as the views looking down at the water moving through the bridge from the Gulf to the Ocean and back again. The Turtle Hospital is just a short walk from the house and does great work with turtles in need of care or a permanent home. This end of town has many restaurants to offer, some within walking distance and many just a short drive.
Please note: In the winter months you will need to pay attention to the weather if you have a boat tied up at the dock. Wind from the north will bring a chop or some small surf onshore. Your week may be perfect but be prepared to pull your boat to prevent damage to it, or the dock.
Pool heat in the winter or chiller in the summer is optional and additional at $200 plus tax. You will need to let us know a week or more in advance if you want it.
The home is also pet friendly but with permission. Please contact me prior to a request to book with details on what breed, size, age of dog you would like to bring.
