Wonderful home, all amenities are as described. Creek, little rapid and swing were perfect for the kiddo. We spent an entire day on property just playing outdoors. The hill is steep down to the creek but both grandparents navigated it with extra care. Roads up to home become one lane gravel, so I was grateful we'd the smaller vehicle on this trip. Close enough to downtown Franklin, groceries and an amazing Thai restaurant to be convenient but far enough to feel like a mountain retreat. We cooked a full breakfast each morning and dined in Franklin each night. The Highlands is an easy day trip, not far, just take the whole day and enjoy! Suggest waking early for a few solo cups of coffee on the porch. Host provided local suggestions and thoughtful little extras that made our stay special. We will absolutely return!
