Modern holiday accommodation for families and couples on the western shore of Lake Maggiore, lovingly furnished in an old building with lake view, equipped with panoramic terrace, fireplace, barbecue, large garden, two bedrooms with double beds, one cot and one baby bed
The house in the Verbania area is located on the village square in Biganzolo, near Intra. It is around 200 years old and has recently been completely renovated and modernised to the highest standards of comfort and home technology. The neighbouring gardens of the property (approx. 2000 m²) offer guests quiet spots under palm trees, rhododendrons, camellias and old fig trees. There is a play area for children.
The 100 m² "Toce" holiday flat is located on the upper floor of the house. The terrace with lake view overlooks the gardens of the "Casa Degli Amici" below, which are also accessible to guests of the Vecchia Scuderia. The flat is comfortable and cosy, it is centrally heated and can therefore also be used in winter. The spacious 37 m² living area is divided into a seating area around the open fireplace (with sofa bed for two people), the spacious kitchen and the dining area by the window. In the kitchen, guests will find a 4-burner gas hob with electric oven, a microwave with grill, dishwasher and fridge with freezer compartment. An espresso machine and toaster are also available. The digital satellite reception system provides Europe-wide TV programmes. There is also a DVD/CD player and a Bluetooth box. The two double bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space, a writing desk and wide shelves for personal belongings. The two double beds in the two bedrooms are each 1.60 metres wide - each with two 200 x 80 cm mattresses. The additional children's bed measures 70cm x 140cm. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with glass wall, WC and bidet. Of course as prescribed: Fire extinguishers in the flat and carbon monoxide gas detectors in every room.
On the large terrace with lake view there is space for outdoor dining and two deck chairs for siestas. Next to the house on the square "Piazza Morrone" (there is also the upper access to the property) there are several parking spaces for cars, a larger car park is just around the corner.
The flat can only be rented by the week. Pets are not allowed. Next to it are private garages and utility rooms as well as a room (with its own toilet) measuring 26 m² for group meetings, exhibitions, seminars (yoga etc.) and social events. If desired, this group room (with multimedia system) can be rented on a daily basis.
The Vecchia Scuderia is a former horse stable with shed and barn. It was renovated from 2001 according to the owner's plans and the strict requirements for the protection of historical monuments in the "centro storico" of the village and has since been extended and maintained to a high standard of comfort and building services. The house with two flats is part of the Casa Degli Amici estate - this "house of friends" has been in the family for over 60 years and can also be rented out to larger groups on request. Both houses are over 200 years old and are located in the village centre, between the church and the village square. Together they form a closed ensemble surrounded by four romantic gardens. In the nearby shopping town of Intra you will find supermarkets and typical small Italian shops as well as cafés and restaurants. The nearest bathing area is about 300 metres away on a footpath down to the lake. Behind the village, an enchanting mountainous and unspoilt hiking area with gorges and waterfalls opens up - the Val Grande National Park.
