Welcome to Haro Strait Haven - your little slice of heaven in the PNW. Relax and take in the peaceful surroundings in this 1-bedroom San Juan Island retreat. Located on the west side of the island, this adorable space features a cozy queen bed, bathroom, and kitchen with all the necessities for cooking a meal. Guests enjoy a warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, with a private deck including a fire pit for spectacular sunset views. Cabin is 15 minutes from town, and 10 minutes from Lime Kiln State Park where resident Orcas are frequent visitors. Spy bald eagles, deer, foxes, humpbacks and orcas in Haro Strait, and incredible star gazing at night.

We are both recent transplants to the San Juan Islands, by way of Texas. We fell in love with San Juan Islands, and after many years of vacationing here we took the plunge and moved here full time. We were drawn to the natural beauty and abundant nature the area is known for. We live in a quiet neighborhood on the west side of the island, overlooking the Olympic Mountain Range and Haro Strait. We love the peace and quiet here, but also love that its only 15 minutes to town. We are 10 minutes from Lime Kiln State Park which is a world renowned location for spotting the J, K, and L pods of the Southern Resident Orcas.
Why they chose this property
Our home is adjacent to the guest cabin, located on the west side of SJI with views of the Olympic Mountain Range and Haro Strait, with Canada in the distance. The sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing here are breathtaking. You never know when you will spot deer, foxes, or eagles from the house. We do have neighbors, and try to be respectful of everyone by observing quiet hours from 9pm to 8am.
What makes this property unique
We are located in a very quiet neighborhood, perfect for guests seeking peace and tranquility. At night the only sounds you will hear are owls and the occasional fox. The guest cabin is very comfortable and cozy, and has everything you need if you want to stay in and prepare a meal to eat outside on the deck. We are also only 15 minutes away from town, where there is plenty to do in the way of shopping, restaurants, and even a charming movie theater.
