An older but well maintained home in comfy, warm neighborhood. Easy access to San Diego State University. The space was exactly as listed. Myself and two other guests stayed for 5 nights, and we felt right at home.

Spacious home, very dated like photos show accurately, quiet and relaxed neighborhood and yard, suited our family well for a few days while we visited our daughter at SDSU. Rebeca was very responsive and took care of a concern we had right away.

It was a good price and clean. The threatening about the carpet was why it did not earn 5 stars.

Thank you for stay with us! You were a great guest and are welcome back. Unfortunately all guests are not a conscientious as you are. Thus, we make our expectations plain so we can keep the home to the standards that guests like you deserve. Nobody wants a gross carpet.

The house is what you would expect, but it just smells. The whole house had a funk the entire time and if we had any other places to stay we would have canceled and moved. There were smell removers all over the house and an ozone maker to try and dampen the smell but it hits you as soon as you walk in. We were told we could not walk in the house with shoes. The cooking utensils are all plastic and melted and not very usable for cooking. I would not stay here again.

House is in a quiet neighborhood and yet close to groceries and major parks (20 min drive to Seaworld, 30 min drive to San Diego Zoo). It is an old house but everything worked just fine for us. We were able to cook. Though the grill outside was not clean when we were there so we were not able to use it. We went during summertime, so it was hot but all the bedrooms have ac’s plus the kitchen. Ample blankets, pillows and towels. The beds were comfortable to sleep in. The washrooms are clean too. For the price, I will definitely stay there again in the future and would highly recommend to anyone visiting San Diego.

Originally from Mexico City, I been in San Diego for 40 years. I love traveling and meeting new people. I am a counselor, but in my free time I enjoy spending my time with my husband, family and pets. I have three dogs, a cat, a horse and chickens.

Why they chose this property

The house is located in the Rolando area. A quiet neighborhood roughly 3 miles from San Diego State University. Originally laid out in the 1920s with major growth during the post-WWII housing boom. It was designed to resemble Spanish-style, curving residential neighborhoods. Known for its nostalgic bungalows and ranch-style houses, many featuring pastel colors and mature landscaping. Features unique "catwalks" connecting streets, a small-town feel, and the nearby Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center.

What makes this property unique

3 bedroom, two bathroom house aprox 1320 square feet. It sits on a 8052 square foot lot. The front yard has fruit trees.
