Luxury Hope Waterfront Home and Guest House
Summary:
Luxury Hope Waterfront Home and Guest House
The Space:
Blue Heron Estate is a luxury vacation home rentals and devoted to the discerning and luxury-oriented guest. Two homes await you. A custom built main house sits on 100' of *incredible* Lake Pend Oreille waterfront and a separate, custom guest house nestled in mature cedar and pine trees --yet fully appointed with its own separate kitchen, bedrooms and laundry area. (Ellisport Bay, Hope, ID) Note: Main house has huge minisplit AC and portable AC unit for primary bedroom. Guest house is located back in the trees and always cool in summer.
A private tree lined driveway winds down and welcomes you to Blue Heron Estate. Once inside, an immense great room greets you, anchored by a stunning custom wood table that comfortably sits 14. A 'chef's dream' kitchen, with pantry on the left and a family room on the right, with HD TV and a stone, wood-burning fireplace.
Yet, you may not notice the interior beauty at first -- because it's the panoramic lake and water views that will take your breath away. Hope 'owns' the most glorious views on Lake Pend Oreille. Watch children build sandcastles on the beach, kayak to The Floating Restaurant, bring or rent a boat and moor it safely on the boat lift. The grounds are gorgeous, with ample outdoor living areas, flat green grass, mature trees for shade when you need it on a very deep and private lot.
Back inside the home, the main floor has one King bedroom, in suite, a powder room off the entry, and a large mud/laundry area. Upstairs, a grand Master suite with King bed, separate sitting area and full bath (see photos). A grand piano centers an open landing to the left and overlooks the dining and great room below. An additional bedroom with twin bunk beds resides upstairs and also doubles as an office area.
The Guest House sits behind the main home and is as exceptionally appointed as the main house. A full kitchen with large, covered outdoor deck. Family room with TV. Two bedrooms, a King master upstairs in suite and a Queen over Queen bunk room on the lower level, also in suite. Full laundry room as well. Additional aero beds provided to accommodate extra sleeping. Note: The Guest House is tucked back amongst towering pine trees and stays nice and cool in summer but does not have A/C.
A private dock with boat lift and dockside tie up are available for an additional boat. No pets. No weddings or events. Thank you for respecting this home and neighborhood. Exterior secuirty cameras are installed.
Blue Heron Estate is *ideal* for family reunions, large groups and those who really enjoy a luxury retreat. The estate is located in Hope, Idaho (on Ellisport Bay) - 19 miles East of downtown Sandpoint - in one of the most gorgeous and unique areas on Lake Pend Oreille. Available year round.
**NOTE: Each year, on September 18th OR the 3rd Sunday in September (whichever is later), the Army Corps of Engineers begins dropping the water level of Lake Pend Oreille until ultimately reducing it by a total of 10-12 feet. Around the 4th week in September ALL boat docks and boat lifts on the lake become inaccessible and unusable, as the water completely recedes back from the shoreline leaving just bare ground beneath the docks. The agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers states the lake level must be restored to full pool level each year no later than July 4th, however, the last 10+ years the lake water has been at full pool level around the 2nd or 3rd week in June.
