If you drove here or rented a car... GREAT! It takes 20-30 to get completely to the other side of the Kansas City Metro area, and your vacation rental is 5-15 minutes from multiple, major entertainment, shopping, recreation and dining areas.
Uber and other ride share services are plentiful as well.
If you go to downtown Kansas City, MO I would also suggest looking into the free streetcar, parking at one end of the route or in the middle, and hitting up the numerous attractions, art galleries, restaurants and shopping that are available. It's CLEAN and FREE!
