The worst experience in 20 years of renting properties in europe. The health and safety of this villa was shocking. The pool had algae/ mould on the bottom. The owner said he could only clean it if he emptied the water, which he wasn't going to do. The surround area was faux grass that was not very well laid on very uneven ground with gaps, lumps and holes. The pool edging stones were badly chipped with sharp edges and lose. The artifitial grass was finished off with numerous ant hills and edged with flaky concrete. Both shower heads were very lose and hanging with one lose screw. There were exposed light fittings just above the bathroom sink with cables running across the sink top. The sunbeds were stained. None of the shutters works when we arrived and the owner and myself spent time fixing them so they worked. The tap in the kitchen sink was hanging off. The owner was arranging to get that fixed after a couple of days. The boiler could be a museum exhibit. The problems then increased. I informed Vrbo of the issues and after 24hours received a phone call and email saying we could move and be fully refunded. They informed Novasol (management company). We found somewhere. let Vrbo know and moved after 3 days. Despite another email 5 days later from Vrbo saying they will issue a full refund and we do not need to do anything, we are still waiting 4 weeks later. Vrbo have reneged on their promise of a refund, Novasol are STILL investigating the issues. 50 photos and videos.
