Are you looking for a sun and sand filled vacation at an affordable, Outer Banks oceanfront rental? Well look no further. One Particular Harbor is the perfect place for fun, romance and relaxation.

The Harbor is small, but the beach is wide! The 'Harbor' is a free-standing one-room efficiency cabana, decorated in Tommy Bahama/Margaritaville vibe. It is on the outside row of a cluster of forty small cabanas. Its features include a queen captain’s bed, a queen size pullout sleeper sofa, and a full kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the amenities of home. The maximum occupancy is three people. The Harbor has three outside decks, the top decks has an amazing ocean view! Recipe for the perfect beach getaway: Just add Rum!
You can take your morning coffee with you on a stroll along the beach. While away the days in the hunt for the perfect sea shells. Watch the dolphins play in and out of the waves. Rig up a fishing pole and talk fish tales with the locals. Or grab your surf board and catch the perfect wave.
You are at the end of the Outer Banks island chain with not a care in the world. Hatteras Time. Come and enjoy. Relax, leave your worries behind. It's all good on the water!

I booked it specifically because it said there was a hot tub. There is no hot tub at all. I don’t know why that hasn’t been changed. I had to unplug the wifi to get the cable tv not to glitch. Wouldn’t have been an issue normally but I wanted to see the Olympics for an hour.

This was a perfect space for a couple, right on the beach, quiet and relaxing. I msg the host prior to the trip & didn’t hear back which worried me a little but everything was great. Full kitchen was nice, check-in & out process was easy. Would definitely stay again, thank you for the hospitality!

The cabana was a perfect size for my friend and I, and was just right for our budget. We thought there was going to be a problem when we first arrived, as there were other occupants in our unit. I reached out to the owner and she immediately got to work solving the problem. We were able to stay for the days we booked, and we had an amazing time!

The cabana smelled like marijana when we arrived. The couch was made of fabric and stunk of it too. We notified the person listed on VRBO and she apologized and said she would tell the cleaning service to address it. This is of-course not the owners fault as some previous guest are just plan disrespectful of the rental and did not follow the rules of no-smoking. We left the doors open to air it out but it smelled that way for a few days but did finally clear out before we left. Aside from that the cabana was cute, smaller than a hotel room but was good for two people. There was no closet but had storage for clothes built into the bed Frame which made it high off the ground (there was a step stool to help get up onto the bed). There was Thankfully no signs of roaches or bugs like a previous review stated, so that was a Hugh relief for me. The bed also had a memory foam mattress topper which was a huge plus and made the mattress comfortable. You could go up to the top deck on the third floor and see the ocean over the sand dunes but just barely so there is no ocean view from the second floor- the floor the actual living area the cabana is on. You can walk to the ocean and go over the wood walkway over the dune to the ocean and it only take a few minuets to walk out there. Overall we had a good stay and would rent again if we are ever back out that way. Thank you!

Hatteras Get Away

Checked in online. Kitchen facilities were good. All decking and steps are about to fall down. Very unsafe! Promised amenities were not available. Beach chairs, outside waterhose, coffee, creamer etc not available. The property office said that unit 5 was not there property. But the walk to the beach was as promised. Be aware of unit 5 it is dangerous!

The Cabana could use some major TLC and maintenance. It's saving grace was that it was in an amazing location. There was black mold in the bathroom, exposed rusty nails and screws on the decking and stairs, rust on the blinds, light fixtures and door frames, and broken benches and very loose railings on the front deck. You were provided one towel and was cloth per person, so I recommend bringing your own. They also only provided a single roll of toilet paper for two people for an entire week, so you'll probably be purchasing that as well. Pretty much bring whatever you might need with you or plan on buying it when you get there.

OMG, we might have lost our minds, but this is our second little unit in this complex. We bought our first one, The Lost Shaker of Salt in 2007, purchased this second unit, One Particular Harbor in 2013. We got married up the road in Kill Devil Hills and One Particular Harbor by Jimmy Buffett was our wedding song. We are big Buffett fans and belong to the local Parrothead Club. Hatteras holds a very special place in our hearts. It is hard not to love it there. It is so beautiful, and so relaxing. It is like stepping back in time to a very friendly town like Mayberry, situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in our country.

Why they chose this property

With our first unit we were going for a fun in the sun, beach vacation. Jimmy would probably say we are “Growing Older, But Not Up.” For this second unit, we were going for the Margaritaville theme, done in a very stylish Tommy Bahama look. We think we accomplished that at One Particular Harbor. Come check us out, we know you will be pleased!
