The Space
Your Dream Redwoods Escape
Welcome to our spacious home-away-from-home! Whether you’re here to explore or just hide away, we’ve loaded the house with all the luxuries.

Indoors
Mornings here are the best—grind up some fresh organic beans and with our Mocha Master make a perfect brew. We also provide a wide selection of tea, if that is more your thing. The kitchen is fully stocked with basics and all the tools you need for cooking.
We’ve curated a space that feels as good as it looks; every bed is incredibly comfortable and outfitted with organic bedding and a wide selection of pillow types to ensure a great night’s rest.
The primary suite is a luxury retreat with a huge freestanding soaking tub and a double shower headed walk in shower.
When it’s time to chill, we’ve got Smart TVs in both the living room and master bedroom. As well as plenty of games and books to choose from.
Keeping everyones health in mind, we chose to offer eco-friendly and natural amenities when possible. As well as cleaning with gentle and safe cleaning products.

Outdoor Living
Surrounded by redwoods, the grassy flat yard is perfect for games! We have a climbing dome and large redwood stump “forts” to keep the kids busy while you relax.. Experience the clean air, rain or shine, from the fully covered front and back patios. In the evenings you can lounge on the patio furniture under the string lights or gather around the fire pit. Enjoy taking in the views of the nearby fields, often filled with our "friendly neighborhood farm animals"—the local horses, cows, and sheep. And all summer long help yourself to the raspberry patch on the side of the house!

The Neighborhood
Our road is peaceful and perfect for a morning stroll or go for a run on the mile loop on Cunningham. You’re just a few minutes’ walk from Florence Keller Park, putting the beauty of the redwoods right at your doorstep. From our home you’re perfectly positioned to experience the very best of the Pacific Coast. Our home is located less than 10 minutes from both the crystal-clear waters of the Smith River and the rugged beauty of the ocean. Whether you want to spend the morning fishing and kayaking on the river or the afternoon beachcombing and watching the sunset over the Pacific, you can get to either in no time.

We’re so happy to share our slice of the redwoods with you!

Safety
For guest safety, the property perimeter is monitored by multiple cameras located on the exterior of the home. There is a front door camera and 6 other exterior cameras facing the yard, patio and driveway. No cameras are located inside the home.

Everything was great. The house was clean and comfortable. An early check-in was facilitated and accommodations such as soap and coffee were provided. The location is faraway enough from town to provide quiet and privacy, but close enough to run into town if you need something. If you are looking to disconnect, there are various hikes within a 30 min - 1 hour drive. There is a fire pit outback, and lots of good books to read that are suitable for all ages. The host is on point. She was available via VRBO and text. Also put together a very helpful informational book of the area and property.

About the host

Host profile image
Born and raised in the Sacramento area, I moved to Crescent City when I married my husband Kevin, a Crescent City native. We have six beautiful and wild children together. We spent 13 wonderful years raising our family on the coast and recently relocated to Jacksonville, OR for a new career opportunity.
Still close to our families roots, we enjoy trips back to the area as well as offering our lovely home for guests to come discover the wonders to the redwood coast!

Why they chose this property

It was love at first sight the moment we drove down Critters Way! We built our dream house and enjoyed 5 magical years making it our home. The views and the peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to raise our growing family. We loved the rural feel with the closeness to town and all the places to adventure in the area. My personal favorite was stepping out the front door and taking a walk down the road, it's quite and serene.
