About the host
Hosted by Dan
We are an Australian–Italian couple who have called California home for the past 15 years. Over time, we completely fell in love with the architectural beauty, light, and lifestyle of this remarkable city.
We enjoy thoughtful design, well-made spaces, good food, and the simple pleasure of feeling comfortable and at home wherever we travel. Hosting allows us to share the kind of place we ourselves look for when we are guests: welcoming, carefully curated, and easy to enjoy.
We take pride in creating a space that feels relaxed yet intentional, and we hope our home allows you to experience the city in a way that feels authentic, comfortable, and memorable.

Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it captures everything we love about Palm Springs. It is one of the most architecturally interesting areas of the city, with clean sightlines, no overhead power lines, and a strong sense of design and openness. Being in South Palm Springs also means calmer weather, as the area is largely protected from the wind.
What we enjoy most is the quiet, residential feel. It feels peaceful and unpretentious, a true neighborhood rather than a resort zone, yet it is remarkably convenient. Downtown Palm Springs is just a ten-minute drive away, and we are only minutes from excellent grocery stores, wonderful restaurants, and some of the city’s best bars.
For us, it is the ideal balance: relaxed and residential, but close to everything that makes Palm Springs such a fun and vibrant place to be.

What makes this property unique
The house was built in the mid-1960s and, while it is not a traditional mid-century modern home, it is architecturally distinctive and truly one of a kind.
One of the property’s most special features is its setting. The house overlooks the golf course and enjoys sweeping 180-degree views across the valley and toward the surrounding mountains. The outdoor areas are expansive and south-facing, offering sun throughout the day and a wonderful sense of openness.
It is a home that feels wonderfully serene and visually connected to the landscape that makes Palm Springs so unique.
